Lakers Examiner: With March Madness in full swing, I thought it would be a good time to take a look at which member of the Los Angeles Lakers had the most potent college team.

Obviously this would be a much different list if Kobe Bryant or Pau Gasol had played college ball, but even without them we are looking at some pretty good squads.

Below I’ve listed the college teams along with some info and a link to their roster. I’ve made subjective decisions about which team (freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior year) was the best, but in most cases it’s pretty clear.

Make sure you click on the players’ names to get some sweet college headshots.

As you read, try to come up with the answer to this question:

If all of these teams were in the same NCAA tournament, which one would win it all?

not only did Luke’s teams as a Wildcat have the best players but they had by far the best coach out of the group and to me that has to give his teams the edge.

  • Tupac Shakur

This is no contest what so ever, its obviously Luke’s The University of Arizona. With alumni like; Gilbert Arenas, Mike Bibby, Richard Jefferson, Damon Stoudamire, Jason Terry. Only the old 1970’s Bruins can compete…

Obviously UCLA. You’ve got great D with the Prince and AA, and Hollins was no slouch. A good backup PG in Collison, a solid wing in Shipp, and some key role players in Mata, Roll and Bozeman.

i pick Joe Crawford, who was drafted by the Lakers and plays for the defenders. Crawford went to Kentucky and his freshmen year they go to the elight eight. should’ve beaten State to go to the Final Four but that’s another story. that team had rajon rondo, kelenna azbuike, chuck hayes and randolph morris.
