I have been kicking myself for the past 5 years for missing that game! I had a family thing that night and initially I was going to skip it, but my aunt, who is the other big Laker fan in the family, convinced me to go because, hey it’s only a regular season game against Toronto, what are you really missing?
So I wake up the next morning, flip on ESPN and the opening story is “Kobe Bryant scored 81 points against Toronto last night…”. I’ll admit, at first I thought I had misheard and they had said the Lakers had scored 81 points. When it really hit me I literally sat down, weak-kneed, nearly sobbing, watching highlights of the greatest single game scoring performance in NBA history, having missed the chance to watch it live.
    Kick…kick…kick…

Jason Riley is a fucking moron. You are not a true Laker fan who never turns off the game. I would honestly do a way better job than you moron. 2005-2006 wasn’t the year “we” (not you, Lakers fan) went 34-48…
