To me, it sounds like he was going to fire Walton (obviously) and didn't want that to spoil his relationship with Jeannie. But instead of making a tough business decision, he decides to RESIGN?? That's cowardly to me. This is supposed to be a successful businessman and he can't even fire a coach who hasn't made a strong case to stay after this next game. If that's really how Magic felt, maybe this job really wasn't for him.

Magic was one of the main reasons for this failure.. And people are mad he's leaving?

What a [expletive] show. Should have never taken the job if you can't make the tough calls or run the day to day operations. Jerry and Ryan West should be running this organization. Watch we hire Phil Jackson lol

Fam we have to be the joke of the NBA right now. We have to be. Even the Knicks haven’t done some [expletive] like this.

I hope Leonard decides to come in. SAVE THE FRANCHISE. You will get all the credit, I promise.

My opinion of Magic has never been lower. I knew he was going to be a problem when he came in and that he is more talk than action. We may have lebron but he tarnished any reputation we had left. Say what you will about Jim and Mitch they never did this much damage to the image of the team. This is a complete disgrace.

Man watching some of these clips of his ramblings right now. Jeanie should sell the team for ever hiring this guy.

“I know if I stay in the role (of Basketball Operations), I’m giving up a lot of me.” - Magic, on how the job prevented him from truly being himself. AK

We were blinded by his charm and history. Still the same dude who embarrassed himself with his game analysis on abc and espn. Blessing in disguise in my opinion. Please give Ryan West and Jesse Buss the Keyes.

At this point I would go hard for Jerry West. We need a proven person who will command respect and get this team from being a laughing stock it currently is. Also would not be opposed to a Jesse and Ryan pair.

Also I would fire Pelinka. I have seen virtually nothing from him that inspires confidence and I have more confidence in Ryan or Griffin.

I think it’s clear there has to be quite the overhaul, I don’t think it’s a total problem because he coulda been holding us back

But we’ll have to wait and see from there
