My thoughts.. tank and ignore the losses. Pray the kids increase trade value and we luck into a better pick to offer for Davis.

Bye for now

Forget tanking. Just play the season out. Go all out. Fight for a playoff spot, get these young guys some playoff experience. If they can make the playoff spot cool, if not, just play hard still.

Tank and pray.

This is exemplifying what LeBron was talking about when he said guys are used to losing. So is the fan base, lol. 3 games out with 23 games and we’re talking about tanking and guys are praying off a 5% chance of landing Zion. Why? So we can [expletive] up his development, too?

Play the games, play to win, there’s no excuse for this team to still be a loser with the best player in the world on it.

and it is not just the youth. The vets need to look in the mirror. I do not care if you have been in the playoffs, won a ring or are the King of Arch Rivals. Thiis laziness and there is no excuse for any of it

The problem is that I think it would really harm the Lakers' appeal as a FA destination if they look far off from even being a playoff team. I think their chances are pretty bad as it is. I think the Lakers at least have a fighting chance of selling their promise if they look close to a playoff team with all the issues they've dealt with. They can sell that they can improve upon that with a healthy LeBron and improving young core. Completely tanking looks bad on the young core as well, lowering their potential trade value.

A high draft pick would be a positive if it does happen though. The Lakers may tank anyway even without shutting down LeBron. Just look at how they've been playing.

I don't think it matters if we look like a okayoff team to free agents.. it's if free agents wanna pair up with someone or come play with the star player. Sounds like not many wanna play with lebron
