Yeah, it fills a need without much cost to the Lakers. I can't see a scenario where a 2021 2nd round pick or Svi would be a deal-breaker in a major trade. The Pelicans were probably just stringing the Lakers along if they claim that.

He doesn’t suck offensively
As a backup PF sure
Defensively he’s atrocious but make no mistake, he’s an improvement over anything at backup PF

Agree.
We are actually pretty thin right now in SF/PF rotation. Lebron, Kuzma and Beasley is about the size of it. Considering Lebron and Kuz injuries, if we want to fight for a playoff spot, we need one more able body coming off the bench.

I liked Svi. I agree that he wasn't used correctly. If Bullock can move well off the ball and do a decent job of attacking closeouts, it will be a very under-rated trade.
