Hate to burst your bubbles. The Lakers aren’t going to make a trade where they take back any long term money and they shouldn’t. They are in a great spot long term and while the west is vulnerable this season even against LeBron and this ragtag group, the plan was to punt into 2019-2020 and get another monster name. That won’t happen if they trade and take on contracts.

His players suck.

Cavs suck a hell of a lot more.

His players suck yet fails to put them in a position to win.... for example Ingram at PG, shooting 3 pointers even thought they straight suck, starting two centers at Minny, ISO ball being our go to play down the stretch, failing to hire a shootinf coach even though their FT % is the worst Ive wver seen. There is more I am sure....

He is trying different things because his players suck.

Hiring a shooting coach? These guys are top NBA prospects. They're supposed to be able to compete night in and day out. They should be putting in the work. This is not some highschool/middle scgool basketball team where guys can learn to shoot with coaching.

Yes. And, I think his cap hold is small enough that the Lakers could still make room for a max contract and re-sign him.

I’d do it tomorrow tbh

Team would immediately be better just by having a guy you can actually rely on

That’s pretty questionable at this point. Luke has his failings but let’s not absolve the busts our roster is riddled with

I mean, absolutely but they can still make deals that allow that

At this point outside of kuzma I’d rather have expirings that are reliable. It’s not like these guys are people we need to hoard for the future lol

Any deal for Anthony Davis at this point will be kuzma centered

I like Japagos idea for vucevic

Tbh I’d consider trying to get vucevic and Ross from the magic. Send them Ingram, and other players idk who

Well there’s nothing to say they don’t front office wise, they gambled and lost. Teams do that. How they respond will be more telling

I just don’t see anyone available that improves the team. Obviously the pelicans could take the team other than LeBron for AD but I just don’t see it.

If I were the Lakers I’d put Lebron on the trading blocks, no sense in wasting his final years playing with these scrubs and [expletive]ty coaching staff.

Lebron is going to be the only LEGEND who did not have a true HOF coach in his career...

There is no universe where that happens. LeBron is a great contract and the only draw other than money for potential free agents. Can’t ever trade him.
