The NBA is looking into whether any contact took place between Ben Simmons and the Los Angeles Lakers that violated NBA rules, league spokesperson Mike Bass tells @TheAthleticNBA.

Magic needs to be quiet.

Free agent forward Markieff Morris visited Dr. Watkins today in Los Angeles regarding his neck and has been cleared to play, his agent Rich Paul tells Yahoo Sports.

guessing he will be signed soon.

Yeah. Those Morris twins are good. Crazy, but good.

Adrian Wojnarowski Retweeted Adrian Wojnarowski

Blazers beat a crowded field for Kanter, including the Lakers, per sources. Kanter is an important addition for Blazers, where he'll play a good share of minutes. Portland signed Kanter to a $70M offer sheet in 2015, which OKC matched.

"Including the Lakers."

Haha, love it. Embrace the hate. That's what Kobe did.

If the Lakers aren't mention it doesn't generate much...

Meloooooo come on down. It’s inevitable...we might as well just find ways to be positive about it at this point.

There's no need for Melo. He adds no value to this team other than being a friend for LeBron. There are cheaper and less invasive ways to get him some more friends.

“Free agent Markief Morris has signed with the Oklahoma City Thunder league sources tell ESPN. The Lakers were never in the running as Morris did not believe the team would make the playoffs according to the same sources.”

Adrian Wojnarowski probably. lol.

Yup. He'll disrupt the offense and will make the defense even worse. I'd rather the Lakers keep the roster space unused.

Players who get bought out are usually looking for either featured roles so that they can get paid more later on or are looking for winning teams.

Both Kuzma and LeBron can play PF, so there's no clear path for him to get significant playing team. And, the Lakers are a lottery team. I'm not sure what his path to playing time is in OKC, but they would be a better destination if the playing time is similar because they're a superior team.

The Lakers should focus on guys they can give heavy playing time.
