This Team Is Dead In The Water Without LeBron

I'm at a loss for words. It's pretty depressing. Started off so promising too. I don't think a deal for Anthony Davis will happen by the end of the season. We can make a deal for Beal, Washington is willing to. But considering his contract, it would be a stretch if that happened, although, if we can unload Lonzo and/or Ingram, that should free up some cap space. I dunno if it that will be enough though, and that contract is just such a giant committment. Why did Washington agree to give him so much money for so many years.
I just heard Jeanie Buss remarks on Luke Walton. Sigh. I remember this during the Byron Scott era. When she is out doing radio interviews, it means their corporate partners are getting anxious and times are not good. Nice of her to express her support while maintaining her professionalism and also Magic Johnson's autonomy of the team, but if we are being honest and non-political, I don't see any scenario where he is still coach next season.
I think we are at that moment of time where, similar to being in a casino at the $200 Pot Limit Omaha table down $600 after having put in a mentally intense 6-hour session where we were up $1200 at one point but loss it all in 3 pots, things just couldn't sway our way and we have about $2400 left to our name (that took us a long time to grind up); we should just get up from the table, take our remaining chips, and have a drink at the bar, and regroup.. It's only 12:15 a.m. on an early Sunday morning. Check out the menu. Maybe order some wings. It will do no good, at this point, to rush LeBron back to a season where we are not seriously competing for a championship anyways. It will do no good to stay in that table and lose our entire bankroll in another 6 hours because we are tilted. In re: to Lonzo, I am just too exasperated to even say any more at this point. I don't think he should be rushed back either.
All in all we're not in a terrible situation, and Rondo's return is eminent. LeBron will also be back in time to help secure our playoff seeding. The only thing we have to avoid is Golden State in the 1st round, but. I don't know if it matters anyways.
Still a Laker fan till the day I die. I will stay on this ship to the bitter end.
