They don't understand that basketball is a game of runs, and it just so happened that the Suns went on a really nice one to start the game.  It isn't really the game plan to go down by 20, but it does show a lot to dig out of the hole as fast as the Lakers did and then slam the thing shut with authority once you get control of the game.

20 point lead isnt a safe lead anymore in this league as it was 10 years ago.

It was a pathetic start against one of the bottom 3 NBA teams, at home. What are you, a cheerleader?82859b8afa94be7eb6972cb98b444752.jpg

The game is 48 minutes, not 4.  When you are turning the ball over a handful of times, missing a couple shots and your opponent isn't missing anything, you will occasionally go down by 20, the Suns aren't a good team but they are elite athletes that are capable of doing exactly what they did to the Lakers.  The Lakers responded and won very easily, on to next.

Poor starts is nothing to be proud of and that needs to be shored up, especially with a team full of young guys. Other than that, great way to come back and dominate.

Another example how Kuzma changes the dynamic for the Lakers. When his shot is falling, we become a much better team.

I view leads as a resource to get your players rest during the regular season, nothing more.  If your bench does well and holds the lead or expands on it, you can get guys even more rest and allow your bench guys more playing time to develop, if not, your players that got the lead are well rested and ready to come back into the game against teams that have expanded a lot of resources trying to claw back into the game.  Playoffs are different entirely.

It's not, but they could have easily folded on the spot.

Been saying it for the longest need to start playing Beasley and Mo more. Theres no way in hell Beasley can’t give you 14 points off the bench and mo giving better space for a center with his ability to hit the 3

No. It was a slow start to a division opponent who is talented but inconsistent.

You think Booker and Ariza can't play? Is McGee better than Ayton?

Each team is comprised of professional athletes and can beat any team on any night. The end.
