I'd try out Melo as the 8th man off the bench. Why not?

8th man? Subplanting who?

Hart? No
Rondo? No
Stephenson? No
Chandler? No

At this point I’d take KCP ahead of him because he can still move

So ahead of svi? Who’s a better shooter than melo at this point

There’s no room for him here actually

He needs to be smart and talk to pop. I think poppovich is the one guy who can revitalize his career

Before asking these questions.  Ask yourself.  Where does Melo get minutes on this team?

Just go to Miami. That’s his best bet.

Hell No let him retire we don’t need a zero defense only play when I want to guy around youngsters or period. Building for a future does not include Melo!

LMAO... you guys really think they'd get rid of a young piece even such as Svi or Wagner simply to acquire a player whom would only provide chemistry issues and added drama?

Common. I agree that if Lebron had interest in teaming up with Melo(which I assure you he does not), Magic and Rob would hear him out, but they wouldn't cut ties with a young piece in order to do so. Beasley would obviously be the first player that takes a back seat.
With that being said, what Melo has little to nothing left to offer on the court, and would only provide major issues off the court if something were to go wrong. Easy pass.

I'm glad we struck out on him in 2014-2015 when he was set for the max cause he's only gone sharply downhill eversince.

Can confirm this. Bron hasn't asked Lakers to sign Melo, and that he doesn't intend to. But if Rob/Magic decide that'd be good for the Lakers, the banana boat has been floated apparently.

Whatever. Not a fan of Melo but i'm a fan of Lebron and keeping him happy and if he wants to do his old buddy a solid and give him a shot at redeeming himself as a 3s/3s-wing then that's fine.

Melo had a great career, but the only league that he should play in is the Big 3

Ask yourself:

Kuzma or Melo?

Ingram or Melo?

Lonzo or Melo?

Honestly, Melo would go 0-3 in those questions.  I'd pick him last.  I don't know what role he'd play for us so for me, hard pass.  I could be wrong and it's a perfect pairing...that would be a shocker though.

I think LeBron feels bad for his friend and for that reason, I could see it happening.  Not sure who we'd cut to sign Melo though...Bonga?

Melo wouldn't be allowed to sniff important minutes on this team, especially when Rondo and Ingram get back.  The garbage time should be used to get minutes for Svi and Wagner to see if they can play, so I just don't see a situation where it would work out.
