Hard pass.

Yeah...very hard pass.  Is "Adamantium Pass" a thing?  If so, that.

This dude has been on some teams with a terrible fit. But his skillset, which is very limited at this point, does nothing for this team. He's an iso player and right now we have Ingram who does the same thing and at this point is better at it.

Melo just isn't an NBA player anymore.  The fact that his 3ball isn't falling should be enough that he just can't help a team.  I dont get why he's being painted as a cancer though.

To be fair, no one on the Rockets is playing well. Everyone is shooting below like 40% as of a game ago. Maybe two. Don’t know how old that stat was but it looked very recent. Melos been bad but he isn’t the cause of the rockets problems.

D’Antoni doesn’t play defense. He lost his defensive coordinator. Two of their top three defenders.

They shoulda paid Ariza and the other guy. Luc . Mba a moute I think. That would have given the rockets a much better rotation. But they didn’t want to play luxury tax so this is what they get.

So right now, the rockets aren’t providing an environment where Melo can succeed. Granted he’s not doing enough to pick up the slack either.

Would rather see Beasley get some minutes, than Melo. If he cant succeed on a team like the Rockets where all he has to do is to convert the open looks he's getting and try on defense I think it's hard to see him having any success with the Lakers.

Wouldn't be surprised if he signed here though.

The problem that keeps getting overlooked is that Melo isn't good at things that he's been traditionally good at in YEARS.  On a team that actually has something on the line this is getting exposed.  You could've put 15-16 Melo on one of those teams and gotten the same result.

I’d take an out of shape kobe over melo.

Melo could stand to lose some weight

Melo isn't crafty enough offensively to get buckets at low efficiency like Kobe.  Kobe could score 20-25 if he wanted to still.  Melo is actually struggling to put up that kind of scoring output regardless of the other factors.

The Lakers absolutely must. He is another vet, akin to Chandler, that can help this team on another level.

I like to dip my feet in toilet water & smell them.

So I want to know:

Who here would object to giving Melo a 10-day contract?

I don't think it would work out but at least it would be due diligence on one of the "Banana Boat" crew.  Don't crucify me.  10-days?  Why not?  LOL.

Why not?  Lets see, they are on a winning streak and playing well, also Melo has displayed that he has no place on an NBA court, he can't defend and he can't score efficiently, hardest pass imaginable.

I'd try out Melo as the 8th man off the bench. Why not?

Plenty of why nots. Every team he has played for is better without him. If that isn’t a good enough reason I dunno what is.
