The organization has trod delicately on finalizing an exit for Anthony out of respect for his relationships within the team and his stature as a 10-time All-Star and future Hall of Famer.

Anthony, 34, has been away from the team for two games with what has been described as an "illness," and he didn't join the Rockets on their trip to Denver, sources said.

What do you think guys? i KNOW he is 34 years old and it is hard to adjust him to the roster, especially with his ego problems and brick shooting, but if THERE IS ONE LAST TEAM that could help him mentally with all the glance around in rob, magic, lebron, maybe this is what melo needs?

I am not saying he should start, lol thats pathetic, but to come off the bench and to just do what he does best...

a lineup for the second unit that consists of rondo stephenson hart melo chandler sounds so much 2010 lol..

For what? He’s not exactly killin it, his problem is riding the bench which he’d do here

If I’m him I’d try and get to San Antonio. I think if there’s anyone who can revitalize him it’s pop

If he were to go to San Antonio I think it’d actually be a situation where people would be like why didn’t we sign him for the minimum

And it’ll be because he’s suddenly scoring at a better clip more efficiently

That’d be my move if I were him tbh

If Lebron says he wants him the Lakers will go after him. I can see them getting rid of SVI or Wagner because Lebron said so.

LMAO... you guys really think they'd get rid of a young piece even such as Svi or Wagner simply to acquire a player whom would only provide chemistry issues and added drama?

Common.  I agree that if Lebron had interest in teaming up with Melo(which I assure you he does not), Magic and Rob would hear him out, but they wouldn't cut ties with a young piece in order to do so.  Beasley would obviously be the first player that takes a back seat.

With that being said, what Melo has little to nothing left to offer on the court, and would only provide major issues off the court if something were to go wrong.  Easy pass.

I'm glad we struck out on him in 2014-2015 when he was set for the max cause he's only gone sharply downhill eversince.

What the [expletive], did I really get up from my drunken labor day slumber for this

Carmelo Anthony to the Lakers - HELL NO, for any amount of money! Not even for free. Not even if he were offering money to be on the team.

What the hell is wrong with ya'll, I swear to God.

Nick Young, oh yeah oh yeah

Andrew Bynum, oh yeah oh yeah

When the hell did the Lakers become some haven for old flameouts. If you are on the roster you gotta be able to contribute.

Ya'll are acting like we are coasting on the west all of a sudden just cause we beat SAC and Atlanta

Tyson Chandler - Mission Accomplished

This is straight up laughable. Carmelo has demonstrated beyond a shadow of a doubt that he cannot play in the NBA and straight up makes teams worse by his presence on the roster, excluding his terrible play. He is a scorer that can’t score. The end.

Would rather see Beasley get some minutes, than Melo. If he cant succeed on a team like the Rockets where all he has to do is to convert the open looks he's getting and try on defense I think it's hard to see him having any success with the Lakers.

Wouldn't be surprised if he signed here though.
