I’m cautiously optimistic. He will provide much needed rebounding and bench minutes. But smart teams will just screen and roll him to death and he’s not mobile like McGee to help much on that front.

Nonetheless, it’s not like we had many other options other than praying for Williams. Good job Magic and Pelinka!

This is a nice addition although Tyson isn't the same player he used to be.

But he is leading the league in defensive rebounding rate and the Lakers is horrible at that end. Limited minutes, sure, but still.

Great signing. I thought about it few days ago. He’ll bring championship and winning expierence. All he has to do is play 10-20 mins a game, run with the team a lot, rebound, contest shots and score few points.

This may just force Kobe to come out of retirement.

Like the signing. But whatever happened to positionless basketball? lol

I mean, he's a 10-12 minutes off the bench (min vet deal) type guy

There were some nights I was praying Javale wasn't going to downright collapse

This solves like half of our issues. Now we don't have to rely on Javale all the time. We actually are getting pretty stacked at the 5 now. Javale, Chandler, Wagner, Williams. I really love that depth. If we could just swap KCP with an actually shooter(Korver maybe) we could actually make a run this year.

So rotations are

Starting: Lonzo - Ingram - Lebron - Kuz - Javale

Bench: Rondo - Hart - Lance - (Svi or KCP) - Chandler

I still would see if its possible to move KCP. Maybe they can just tell him hes out of rotation so he might as well waive his NTC. I mean he's already barely getting time as of now. Seems like a swap with him and korver would make a lot of sense. Cavs have already moved korver out of rotation with that Lue firing and both contracts are pretty close but not close enough for trade to work. Not familiar enough with Cavs players to know if they have acceptable fillers. Funny enough Nwabia could be one of the fillers.

You can always tell who Anthony and Harrison hate by coming to this forum and seeing who people want to trade.  KCP isn't the problem.  You need good on-ball defenders and if we have reliable post defenders we can funnel the ball to, he will be invaluable.

What we need now is another AllStar so LeBron doesn't have so much attention directed at stopping him.

Chandler helps.  I predict a 4 game winning streak after he arrives...I'm likely wrong.

This is a pretty great signing....10-15 minutes of defense and rebounding is all we need.

The guy is washed up now. Just can’t move out there anymore.

I agree that KCP isn't the problem. Not in terms of this season though as he should figure things out pretty soon. Chandler will solidify the rotation mentioned here and while we could use an all-star it isn't happening until the offseason or if everything goes horribly wrong.

He’s washed up as a starter, and even as a full time backup, but he’s definitely not washed up as a spot minutes guy. If he’s hitting 10-15 min at most a game he’ll be productive as a rebounder for that time period.

Ideally mo Wagner steps up and you can kinda give them split minutes and JaVale bulk minutes

I keep saying Bron is underperforming as the best player in the world. KCP is playing terribly.
Missing good shots. Taking bad shots. Playing bad d. Not passing at all.

In fact no one is passing crisply. And it's actually too much pressure on the team right now.

Ii think Lance is slowly starting to play bad also.

Ingram has also gotten a bit funky. Everyone needs to pass out more when driving.

Last night everyone was terrible bytheir standards but KCP is consistently bad.

Kcp is the problem.

He's one of several, but a minor one.  Chandler wont move the needle much either, but he simply cant be any worse than Zubac, who cant move his feet, consistently seems to be in the wrong rebounding spot and has terrible hands.
