If Philly beats Memphis we may jump to the 5th spot.

Some young guy better have a breakout game soon Spurs twice this week Pops will adjust so our players need to as well! Cut TO’s to single digits per game and if your 3 ain’t going go to the hole or pass it!

A little late but better late than never. Been meaning to update this for a while.

We finished November 13-9; Through the first four games of December:

vs Suns       WIN

vs Spurs      WIN

at Spurs              LOSS

at Grizzlies  WIN

Current record is 16-10; we're the fifth seed and we're 1.5 games behind from first seed.

The remaining schedule for December:

12/10 vs Heat         WIN

12/13 at Rockets    WIN

12/15 at Hornets    WIN

12/16 at Wizards    WIN        (b2b, law of averages says we'll lose one of these games)

12/18 at Nets          WIN

12/21 vs Pelicans   WIN

12/23 vs Grizzlies   WIN

12/25 at Warriors            LOSS

12/27 at Kings        WIN

12/28 vs Clippers             LOSS

12/30 vs Kings                 LOSS

I honestly think we can compete and have a very solid chance to win with every team we play *IN* December except the warriors. I tried to not be a complete homer and say we'd win every game; but I think we'll go on a number of 3-4 game winning streaks, lose a game, and then another 3-4 game winning streak.

We have 11 games remaining in December. We're playing at 0.615, so statistically we should win 7 (6.7) of the next 11 games. So going 8-3 isn't that crazy. For the entire month of December that'd be 11-4.

Great ending for a slow game. Kuzma has been a bright spot lately. He seems to really kick it up another notch whenever Ingram isn’t playing. I’m not sure exactly what to make of that. I’d like to see Lonzo/Lebron/Kuzma start with Ingram off the bench.
Kuzma plays better next to lebron and Ingram plays better without him. This way they both get maximized. I know starting is nice but it’d serve the team better if Ingram can be a beast in the second unit. I think Ingram is our James Harden.

November: 10-4

December:

vs. Dallas WIN

vs. Suns WIN

vs. Spurs WIN
@Spurs WIN LOSS - Lack of effort. DeRozan was good.
@Grizz (back to back) WIN - Great win. Kinda expected a loss, though.

vs. Heat WIN Solid win.

@Rockets WIN Rockets are a mess right now, but they could turn it on quickly.
@Hornets WIN Solid team.
@Wiz (back to back) WIN
@Nets WIN
vs. Pelicans WIN
vs. GRIZZ WIN
@Warriors WIN
@Kings WIN
Clippers (back to back): WIN
Kings WIN

I'm an optimist. 15-1. 5-1 so far.

Realistically, we're playing 7 games vs. bad teams. Say we go 5-2 on those. Then 3-4 on the rest. That's 8-6 from here on out, which would put us at 10-6 for the month.

I think it's 50/50 whether we beat the Rockets and Wizards as they're both underachieving teams that were supposed to be good and they could be motivated. Kemba is balling out right now, so we could lose against the Hornets.

Every team and player always play there best against us.. it always been like this for decades.

We just have to come out attacking and put them away.

if we're our record is between 23-27 wins by jan 1. its great then!

I want to like this team. There's just always something that makes me doubt them. 1-5 against San Antonio and Houston now. It seems like the Lakers don't get any better when they face teams again after losses. Portland would probably be the only good example. Both Minnesota games were really close.

As decent as the Lakers' record seems so far, there are so many teams vying for those 8 playoff spots.The Lakers' lack of shooting and the Lakers' bad perimeter defense is really concerning to me. I think they're going to have a tough time winning high-scoring games.

Ingram has been missing, but I don't think he's the solution to the Lakers' problems with perimeter defense. I don't think he's quick enough to get around screens or to get to shooters after helping on defense. I think the elite guards/wings will be able to exploit either his lack of speed or his lack of strength.
