What’s our record against the kings this season? How many games do we have left against them?

What about the clippers?

I’m hoping we have the tiebreakers

Kings have an easy schedule....gonna be tough for Lakes to make it, but I have hope!

Clippers and spurs both lost today. We’re three games behind the sixth seed now.

6th Utah 3.0 games ahead
7th Spurs 3.0 games ahead
8th Clippers 1.5 games ahead
9th Kings 0.5 games ahead

Whats with the Kings and Clippers coming back down from 15+ points vs. various teams and winning?

This. It’s more like 20+. So [expletive]ing annoying. Not sure if Kyrie leaving the game tonight contributed to the clippers comeback but still, we better hope that trend doesn’t continue.

Clippers will fall out of the playoff picture, though that was an impressive win today (&*^% Boston!).

Kings are our competition.  We are 2-1 vs. Kings, the 4th game is @STAPLES on 3/24.

If we beat them than that will be a +1.0 game difference (+0.5 for us and -0.5 for them).

I hope they’re conscious of that at the time bc I swear, sometimes, it’s like they really don’t. Which is mind boggling. Like what in the world do they tell em before the game??

By far the easiest way to make it to the playoffs is to have a good record against mediocre to bad teams, and then you can afford to have a mediocre to bad record against good teams. Losing all those games against mediocre and bad teams is coming back to bite the Lakers. They will now have to consistently beat good teams to make up ground for all those losses against bad teams.

The best way to make it to the playoffs is win. Doesn’t matter against who or when. You just have to have enough of them. The Lakers did not feast on the bad teams and they have fortunately done well enough in the early season and against good teams in general. We shall see.

Just trying to put into context where the Lakers are at. Normally, this loss wouldn't be a big deal. It's a loss against a great team on the road. But, it's the situation where the Lakers put themselves into. Basically, I was right in "panicking" a while ago.

You guys don't have to reply to me every time if you guys feel like I'm repeating myself. Everybody does to a certain extent, because we're talking about the same team over the course of a long season. A lot of the same issues remain. Even the positive guys do when trying to defend the team.

you sound like Popovich.  The teams who will make the playoffs in the West are the top 8, ranked by how many games they win.

Clippers, Spurs, Kings, and Lakers are battling it out for the 8th spot.  The "winner" most likely gets swept by Golden State!!

I mean, that is literally how it works. Doesn’t matter who you beat or when, golden state win counts as much as losing to the knicks. Yes, you should beat the bad teams and you should lose to the better teams, but it very often doesn’t happen like that, and is why they play the game instead of just looking at it on paper and deciding who is favored and declaring a winner.

Clippers lose.

When the Lakers win tomorrow (I won’t be here if they lose), they’ll be 1.5 games behind #8. Which is now occupied by the Kings.

Their next 10:
At Denver
At Golden State
At OKC
At Minnesota
Vs Bucks
Vs Clippers
Vs Knicks
At Wizards
At Celtics
At Sixers

Lakers next 10:
At Hawks
Vs Rockets
At Pelicans
At Grizzlies
Vs Pelicans
Vs Bucks
At Suns
Vs Clippers
Vs Nuggets
Vs Celtics

I see us only winning 5 of our next 10. Same with the Kings.

Honestly, if they lose against the Hawks it down the road to Zion as far as i'm concerned.

Realistically,

Their next 10:
At Denver LOSS
At Golden State LOSS
At OKC LOSS
At Minnesota 50-50
Vs Bucks LOSS
Vs Clippers 50-50
Vs Knicks WIN
At Wizards 50-50
At Celtics LOSS
At Sixers LOSS

So anywhere between 1-9 and 4-6.

Lakers next 10:
At Hawks WIN
Vs Rockets LOSS
At Pelicans WIN
At Grizzlies WIN
Vs Pelicans WIN
Vs Bucks LOSS
At Suns WIN
Vs Clippers WIN
Vs Nuggets LOSS
Vs Celtics 50-50

Maybe i'm optimistic, but 7-3 isn't too far off.

Lakers will go 9-1 with the only loss being to the Bucks. There is no reason for them to lose more than 1 game during this stretch. All those teams are beatable if they wake the [expletive] up
