They were better scorers, yes.

Rebounding

Passing

Defense

Impact on Team Defense

Impact on Team Offense

I think Lonzo was top 2 in all of those.

Yeah, he just needs to work on staying healthy as well. I think if he was last season, I would have put him higher.

We had so many false starts last year.  Right when we thought we were hitting a groove, we'd get hit with the injury bug.  Lonzo definitely needs to stay healthy.  If he starts over Rondo, his importance to how we play (pace and style) can't be overstated.

If I thought Ingram could or would play more off the ball, I'd put him right under LeBron.  His length alone would put him a step ahead of the defense if he concentrated on moving without the ball.

This is what we were missing last year and with LeBron AND Rondo, 2 of the best passers in the NBA last season, added to Lonzo, Ingram would score with the least resistance possible.  With his slight frame and cray length, it's where he would be most efficient and deadly, IMHO.

I asked this a while ago and never got an answer. Some ppl believe Lance Stephenson is a good defender and some ppl think he's a garbage defender.....soooo which one is it? Haha

Is he living on reputation? Could motivation be a factor?

I put him in the same category of players as guys like JR Smith, Nate Robinson etc. The variability of his play is high, and his comfort level matters a lot (that's why he plays well in Indiana, but maybe not on other teams). Guys like these are high energy players off the bench, and typically play better at home when not faced with a huge deficit. His primary job will be to score, and on average, he's a poor defender. BUT, since he's an energy player, effort and motivation are the two bigger factors. He can definitely get after guys if he wants, and we've seen him do it in the playoffs. Now can he maintain that for 82 games straight? Doubt it, but you shouldn't expect it. His role is to bring energy off the bench and build/maintain leads. That he can do well.

If guys start dropping this season again, does anyone think we might here some rumblings from LeBron and then followed by some changes to the medical staff?

I'm on the fence as to whether our medical staff is good enough to keep without making some major changes to it.

Any others here a little leery of medical staff?

At the very least, beef up the prevention side by a couple million

Excited for  1. Lebron! (Still love me some Kobe, but damn this guy is amazing) 2. Another big get (Whether in FA or in a trade we need some attractions and closers) 3. Young Guys making big jump (Assuming we have anyone left after more necessary moves either genius ones or in desperation)

READY FOR SEASON!!!

He's a tough defender.  He's like KCP in that he gambles alot.  If he has a team that plays passing lanes and work together as a team on D, he's a very good defender.  If he's on a team where he's out on an island trying to be a lock down man defender, he gets scorched on the regular.

Hope that helps.

Rondo makes Stevenson less relevant.

Rondo
Hart
Svi
Wear
Kuzma
Mo Wagner

That could be the bench contribution

If Lance has any game he’ll use it now best op he’ll get! Chemistry is so valuable as playing time so Luke let’s see what we’ve got!

No he doesn’t. Stevenson is a better score than rondo and could be a good role player for us.. if Hart is any good this year.. then I see him takin his mins

If ? Hart is driven Lance will come off the bench best scenario, and Rondo doesn’t look to score Lance ? On his offense streaky

I dont think Lance plays a huge role on this team but that's just me.

KCP

Ingram

LeBron

McGee

Rondo

Hart

Lance/Svi

Kuzma/Beasley

I think the guys in red could start in certain situations and will play prominent roles off the bench.  Lonzo, KCP and McGee are in constant danger of coming off the bench.  Will be interesting to see how Kuzma plays next to LeBron...if he doesn't well, I could see him get more minutes at the 3 next to LeBron as the season progresses.

Not sure which position Beasley will play or how many minutes he will get.  I think he will have to outplay Kuzma and Ingram to play next to LeBron.

We don't play the same as the Pacers.  How he played last year for them shouldn't have any bearing on how Lance will be used this year.

Maybe not massive but his upper looks more muscular. His frame definitely expanded because of his lifting regimen, and he looks strong as [expletive]. With his style of play, he will toss some dudes around for sure.
