Where is this idea than Lance and Beasley are enforcers or goons coming from?

Excited for  1. Lebron! (Still love me some Kobe, but damn this guy is amazing) 2. Another big get (Whether in FA or in a trade we need some attractions and closers) 3. Young Guys making big jump (Assuming we have anyone left after more necessary moves either genius ones or in desperation)

READY FOR SEASON!!!

they are scrappy players. We don't need people to do retaliation.. we need hustlers, players that amp up the atmosphere.

Yep...not sure anyone wants them to be crazy...just be gritty, tough and physical.  I think they fit the bill.

The Warriors don't respond well to physicality, so I kind of see what Magic is trying to do here. Obviously, his options were limited because he could only do 1 year deals. I hope it works out.

The Rockets had the right idea.  If we somehow get Kawhi before February, I'm writing us down for the NBA Finals in INK.

Lonzo

Rondo

Lance

KCP

Kawhi

LeBron

McGee

Beasley

Lot tougher team that will give GSW fits...and they might stop LeBron or Kawhi but not both.

Exactly. The Paul injury was a blessing to the Warriors, for sure.

The 2016 playoffs was another good example of physicality bothering GSW. They couldn't handle Adams and Kanter on the glass. And then Cleveland would bump and bruise Curry and Thompson on every off ball cut they made, throwing their rhythm off just enough to where Cleveland was within striking distance late in the games. Combined with Thompson and James bullying them in the paint repeatedly, and losing their best post guy in Bogut, it resulted in a game 7 loss for them.

In fact, that's why they signed Pachulia that offseason. He's one of the best centers at boxing out in the league, and it showed in the finals that year.

As GSW's salaries increase, their depth and rotation guys will shrink to 1-2 year vet minimum type deals. They will still get value out of those guys, for sure, but the lack of continuity and depth there is something we can exploit, especially with good, hard-nosed physical defense.

This is why Leonard is essential. He gives us that elite perimeter defense, and will allow LeBron to rest on both ends a little more. Crucial given his age.

Lebron doesn't need Kawhi to stop playong d. He was in the bottom 5 percentile last season.

Yes, we all know he's going to take many possessions off on defense, especially during the regular season. Having Leonard guard the best player on the other team will let him rest more. For example, LeBron was frequently matched up onto Durant against the Warriors. Leonard would guard him instead, allowing LeBron to guard someone like Jordan Bell or Iggy, a minuscule offensive threat in comparison.

Also Leonard can teach defense to our wings. Imagine Kuzma having to go up against in him every day in practice. It makes a difference.

We don't need garbage man. But if what OP meant was a player with high REB%, then we have two PGs that can grab tons of rebounds and Kuzma/Ingram/Hart are no slouch either.

I highly doubt we have a player that averages more than 9 reb this season. Even 8 is questionable. But there will be 7-8 players in 5-8 rpg range.

i'd suit up BasketballIQ and put him out there for 10-12 minutes a game. dude would confuse the hell out of the opponent.

This true?

Id say even if it is who among us wouldn't happily take that if it came with 26/8/8 along with a 52 win season and a wcf appearance in the first year here?
