Looks like he may be another late first round find. We’ve been probably the best in the nba that last few years in that area of the draft

I'm going to be surprised if Svi isn't a main rotation player. He shoots lights out and is actually very active on defense despite not having a wide wingspan.

If he continues playing like that during preseason, he's a lock to be in the rotation.

We are so cluttered on the perimeter. I’m actually interested to see what they do with the rotation

You have kuzma, lebron, ingram, hart, KCP, ball, Stephenson and svi

There are always injuries that will get him in rotation. Svi will get plenty of burn.

I agree that he could crack the rotation but a lock?  Seriously doubt it.

We can't get locked into the same loop of overhyping our players PRE-season.  I'm a Svi fan and I see him playing well next to LeBron but we have a glut of SF/PFs  Between LeBron, Ingram, Kuzma, Beasley, Lance, and even Wagner (to a certain extent), only way Svi is a "lock" to break into the rotation is if we are plagued by injuries, IMHO.

I see a chance where Svi can outplay atleast Lance for PT or he's just a better fit.  Svi is a 2/3 wing and probably the best shooter on the team.  He's also pretty athletic.  I believe he was an athlete before he became a shooter.  Lance's fit feels the hardest to grasp.  I dont think he's going to be able to be as wreckless as he was in Indy.

I don't think the front office or Luke is going to cater to guys b/c of their tenure as players.  Just like last year Kuzma took his spot in the rotation.  Once they found out he was real they found a way to open up more PT via a trade or playing lineups where we didn't think he was a fit, like SF.

The top 7 are a lock though for guaranteed minutes IMO

Lebron, Ball, Ingram, Kuzma, Hart, KCP, Rondo.  The C position is the biggest question.  I see a lot of people are penciling in McGee as a starter and that might be true but Javale isn't productive past 10-12 mpg and he signed a vet minimum so there will be plenty of C minutes for Bron, Zu and Wagner to eat up.  Eventually when chemistry is built the top 8-9 will be set for the playoffs

The Lakers have made it clear that they plan on being a very tough defensive minded team.  Svi would have a chance to outplay Lance if the Lakers were focused on offense but there is almost no chance Svi is a better defender than Lance in his rookie year.  Lance is likely one of the most versatile defenders on our team...similar to Marcus Smart for BOS.

Just my opinion...I could be wrong.

Lance is actually amongst the leagues worst defenders. Svi is likely a better fit and player for this team

Svi just made about 20+ straight 3's in practice...kid can shoot no doubt.

That was impressive. Question for Lukas? Who’s a better practice shooter, Sasha or Svi?
