Interesting opening odds.

1. Golden State 5/4

2. Houston 7/2

3. Philadelphia 7/2

4. Boston 8/1

5. Los Angeles 20/1

5. Miami 20/1

7. San Antonio 25/1

8. Cleveland 30/1

"We like some of the younger players on the Lakers and think there's a pretty good chance they get Paul George," Murray said. "They'd draw a lot of action and probably would have the third-best odds in the West behind Houston and Golden State if LeBron went there. Without him, they'd probably be in the 60-1 to 80-1 range."

After the Kawhi thing and LeBron losing, the odds dipped to 7/1 (6/1 in some places) by the way.

They opened at 20/1 without any changes to the team, generous to say the least.

So what does that say about the team as is?

What does it say about the kids?

Not much, IMHO.  Check out PHI's odds...that should explain our 20-1.

Swear these odds have to anticipate another player coming.

Ive been wrong plenty of times before in my years as a fan of this team...

But i think a case can be made where the lakers STILL MISS the playoffs with this roster.

Who are we replacing?

Maybe Pels?

Blazers?

Spurs possibly?

I think for sure the locks are

GS

HOU

Minny

OKC

Utah

Excited for  1. Lebron! (Still love me some Kobe, but damn this guy is amazing) 2. Another big get (Whether in FA or in a trade we need some attractions and closers) 3. Young Guys making big jump (Assuming we have anyone left after more necessary moves either genius ones or in desperation)

READY FOR SEASON!!!

I think we make the playoffs as a bottom seed with this roster. But there's still a lot of work to do.

should have posted this here: we're going to see a lot of 50-60 win teams in the west this year. playoff seeding is everything. don't be surprised to see the rockets knock off the warriors in the semis this year, depending on how seeding shakes out. that clown daryl morey thinks he can beat the warriors with 'antoni and no D, but by out gunning them. wrong. length and gang rebounding, and we'll take out those houston poseurs. i got the lakers in the finals next year with a bit of luck!
