Thibs had this to say about Josh Hart:

Wolves coach Tom Thibodeau was asked about Josh Hart: “Terrific. He’s just a good basketball player. He can do everything. Shoot, pass, defend.” Thibs called it “huge” that the Lakers found him late in the draft (No. 30 overall).

Thibs has the same title as Magic (President of Basketball Operations) in addition to being a coach. He should be fined!!!

LOL...who do we even need to go there? We're the Lakers, they're the T-Pups.

Same rules apply, do they not?

If Silver doesn't fine him, I'd appeal the previous fine if I were Magic.  What's good for the goose is good for the gander.

Accept that we get different rules being the rulers;ie CP3, Kobe’s feet, tampering so suck it up we are the last team to go bk2bk 09/10 so there’s still sour grapes 🍇

I don't see anything gained by the Lakers if they actually pursued this.

They have a LOT to gain...$50,000 for the SAME EXACT THING...why are the Lakers held to a different interpretation of the same rule, apples for apples?

Magic is well within his right to respond to a question about him as a PLAYER vs another PLAYER.  He doesn't stop being a HOFer because he takes an executive office job.

The intent of the rule was to prevent tampering or the use of the media to woo a player.  Giannis is under contract for about 4 more years, through 2021. It's not even CLOSE to the same situation with Paul George who only had 1 year left.

You can't divorce the context from the intent.  If anything, the comments made by Magic about Giannis encouraged him to STAY in Milwaukee, not come to the Lakers.

Thibs holds the same title.

Thibs made the same/similar comments.

If the NBA has a separate set of rules for the Lakers, how is that fair?

We're the Lakers, its always been this way... most recently the CP3 trade, the new CBA and these silly fines.

Kings coach was fined for saying a similar thing about Chris Paul...

The Kings' infraction is also related to Paul, as new coach Michael Malone said in his introductory press conference that the Clippers point guard would "look pretty good in a Sacramento Kings uniform."
