Have to say I agree 100%.

Only whiny, spoiled, overly-priviledged LAKERS FANS would complain about HOW we win.  Most teams would KILL to have a CHANCE to sign LeBron and PG13 this summer but noooooo....we have people here complaining about 4 guys who have been in the league a combined <10 years and how WINNING with LeBron will affect them?!!!

LOL.

It's sad we have to go through this.  Should be a no-brainer but instead, people are choosing to NOT use their brain and think with their HEARTS.

Lakers still have that huge TV deal with TWC/Spectrum...BILLIONS of dollars and their own channel.  Magic and Jeanie know that they need stars.  They aren't going to listen to the bleeding hearts that don't want LeBron because that would not make basketball or business sense.

Even if LeBron and PG13 don't beat GSW, they will win a lot of ball games, make BILLIONS in marketing/ad revenue and make LA a PRIME Free Agent Destination again.  It's the first step in making this Franchise relevant again and not a laughingstock.

The Lakers still have guys developing who will be able to take over in 3-5 years...Ball will be 25, Ingram 25, Kuzma 27, Randle 28...near their primes with Ball and Ingram still about 2 years away from their primes...

As long as we don't trade away our youth to get LeBron and PG13, it's almost guaranteed that we will try to sign them this summer.  No LOGICAL reason we shouldn't.

Can't agree with this more.

When we got Shaq, he was already one of the 50 greatest players ever as named by the NBA. We combined him, with our YOUNG TALENT (Kobe) and won 3 championships. I don't hear anyone complaining about that being unorganic.

If we get LBJ and PG -- two GREATS -- and combine them with our YOUNG TALENT (Ball, Ingram, Kuzma, Randle), why is that a problem? Doing that will make us COMPETITIVE again. That's huge.

I wonder WHICH players they wouldn't want?

KD and PG13?

Steph and PG13?

AD and PG13?

Kyrie and PG13?

RW and PG13?

Seems like an arbitrary standard applied to LeBron that would not be applied to almost any other superstar.

My motto is:

Do what ever it takes to get any players and make lakers great again.

If lebron and and Pg have to come and put us in a position to win the ring for few years, why not!?!

That's your opinion.

I bet money that if Brandon Ingram is the 3rd best player on this team next year, he's going to be much better than people think.  If Kuzma is the 4th best player, wow.  If Lonzo has that much offensive firepower surrounding him, he's going to be an elite passer and floor general.

People see our young guys as 2-3 years away from being consistent contributors to a good team.

I see our young guys as really good complements to stars while they develop.

And Jalen Brown and Tatum are developing
Kyrie is 25 or 26 and Hayward is back next year

KLAY AND Draymond are the 3rd and 4th best players on GS

Mass. Most of us just want to be in the fight with a chance not like the last few years. The right FA’s and we’ll have a balanced team with flexibility!

Injuries are a part of the game.  I'd rather be the #2 team in the NBA if and when one of the GSW stars goes down.  I'd rather win 60 games and have a CHANCE to beat GSW in the WCF than win 35 games constantly kicking the can down the road.

Play to win.

Build smart and flexible.

Never concede a season before you play it unless your cupboard is bare.

I'm not afraid of GSW.

I'm afraid of missing out on a chance to take them down because we assumed we had no chance.

I mean i get this competitive thing and all, but we still have to leapfrog 25 other teams to get to this spot.

Big mountain.

Almost a miracle getting there.

Actually several miracles if we pull it off in next 2 years

Praying for  1. Some Cohesion (Ill fitting parts with young bucks, new guys, and those playing for next contracts may muck things up all season) 2. Better Coaching, No More Tanking (Last season was more of the latter but not sure how much of the former we can count on. Walton with something to prove this season as much as any Laker player) 3. Rookie Watch (Hoping Lonzo outshines his daddy (ROTY??), and Kuzma finds minutes and makes a push for all rook 2nd team)

READY FOR SEASON!!!

We have already done most of the work by opening 2 max slots.  The rest is relatively easier.  Magic and Pelinka could sell Ice to Eskimos.

Worst case scenario, we keep IT this summer.  Best case?  PG and LeBron.  We are setup to at least not go backwards.  We couldn't say that any of the past 5 seasons.

The worst case scenario isn't even that bad as we'd be able to keep most of the team intact and still be players in 2019.

Keep Randle and BroLO, overpay IT for one season then maybe turn Deng into a more productive bad contract - Allen Crabbe? Two max guys in 2019.

Resign Randle and go for that one max, I just don't see two stars coming here. Keep López only if he asks for less money (a lot less) unless we get DMC. Please no KCP and no IT, PLEASE.

At this point we’d be better giving Brooks minutes to zubac and then playing Randle at the 5 next season

Zubac brings fresh legs and toughness

We hit the 25 wins before the 60th game. Our away record still lacks a lot to be desired, but we are slowly gaining resilience, and that could prove to be important when we close this season and head to summer with this core.

I don't know what the market will look like for KCP and IT but I don't mind us retaining both in the roster for 2-3 more years by stretching Deng. The rotation would be deep and powerful.

Ingram / Randle / Ball

Kuzma / George / KCP

Hart / Zubac / IT

I understand but it would be pretty disrespectful to Brook given that he's done everything we've asked of him and he's in a contract year.

Zubac is 20-21...no reason to rush.  Give him more back up minutes later in the season but Brook should start.

I meant for next season. IMO we’d be better off giving the minutes brook gets now to zubac next year

And not bring brook back
