I think it's very possible.

Not saying the situation is similar, but the Skal Labissiere plot that played out 2 years ago caught me by surprise.  He was viewed as a lottery pick and even top 5/10 pick for a majority of the college season.  Interestingly enough, his stock spiraled and I think he wasn't selected until 28.

He was soft and had a pretty poor single season at UK.

In many respects, it just took until late in the year for people to actually realize that he wasn't going to turn it around, and that he would be a much bigger project in the NBA than originally anticipated.

Draft is only 12 days away.

Last year we made a huge trade 2 days before the draft.  That's how close we are to possibly seeing the dominoes starting to fall.

The Finals are over.  The Lakers are on the clock . . .

When do we start hearing about free agent signings? July 1st or July 8th after the moratorium?

It’s july 1st right? Like we’ll hear about it on the first and it’s not inked until the 8th?

The 1st with offer sheets and other rumors... then the 8th when they sign the offer sheets

I think I have heard this somewhere before... Hmm where it was

what other player are you talking about???

I think this guy has the potential to change a franchise, and those prospects don't come every year.

Lakers are bringing in more draft prospects. Tomorrow's group:
Rawle Alkins – Arizona
Jeffrey Carroll – Oklahoma State
Angel Delgado – Seton Hall
Kendrick Nunn – Oakland
Kelan Martin – Butler
Brandon McCoy – UNLV

Just get De'Anthony Melton, he's the pit bull this young core is missing.

Good option at 25, in my opinion. If he learns how to shoot he could be the steal of the draft.

One of these guys is De'Anthony Melton the other is Jrue Holiday. Which is which?

Player A: 27 mp, 8.3pts, 4.7reb, 3.5ast, 1.9stl, 1.0blk, 44% from field, 28% from 3 on 2.1 attempts and 71% FT. PER 19.2.

Player B: 27 mp, 8.5pts, 3.8reb, 3.7ast, 1.6stl, 0.5blk, 45% from field, 31 from 3 on 2.5 attempts and 73% FT. PER 17.3

I get what you’re trying to do here but the importance or well value of the three ball has drastically changed in even the time since holiday was drafted. Melton should have known that if he wants to make it in the nba he needs a legit three point shot. He doesn’t have other incredibly awesome talents - as far as I am aware at least - to make up for being a rather average three point shooter.

I don’t know why all these young players aren’t trying to develop a legit nba three point shot. Is it because they’re too young and thus not strong enough or something??
