I’m hearing the Lakers promised him so he’s sitting out the draft combine and stuff. But why did he not play this year? Anyone know more about?
Yes there was an FBI investigation and he was not eligible along with others also not able to join G league per their rules. Exciting details!
I know someone was mentioning the coach at WKU resigned but is that enough for a top prospect to sit out??

I would be thrilled with Robinson at 25. If he drops that far, some one isn’t doing their job properly.

Robinson is a fine choice, but would rather have Okogie or Porter. Kinda like Brunson as well if we could get him with the 47th.

The story was that his God father, Shammond was hired as am assistant. He was going there because of him. All of a sudden he resigned. Because his uncle resigned he bounced too. That's what was reported and decided to just train for the NBA combine and draft

Seriously doubt he falls that far based on the fact that I don't think he's been lower than 20-22 on most mock drafts.

He signed with the Raymond Brothers Agency:

Client list doesn't give a lot away.

Can the lakers trade up from 25th to 17-22? Do you think any of those teams would bite?

Why would they need to bother with smoke and mirrors?

They have the second and third picks.

Wait. The kings say we don’t want him, we want Ayton. Suns be like nah fam we’re taking Ayton and then the kings get Doncic like they want. Repeat with the hawks.

I get it now! Hope the above helps anyone who had the same question

Whatever happens, in a few years we will be calling bunch of teams dumbasses for not selecting certain players.

When a league lacks a proper way to deal with young players, it becomes an headache. It still boggles my mind why there isn't a D-League system where teams can take 14,15 year olds and develop them within. It would be a nice alternative to NCAA system.

22nd is possible if we throw in our 47th pick also but 17th is probably not.  We'd have to offer another 1st rnder and/or a player to make the leap from 25th to 17th.  Anything is possible and I have seen stranger things happen on Draft Night.

The Los Angeles Lakers announced they will host six more players on Wednesday as the front office continues to search for another gem late in the first round of the 2018 NBA draft. The group will feature big names like Dayton’s Kostas Antetokounmpo, the younger brother of Giannis Antetokounmpo, Duke’s Gary Trent Jr. and Villanova’s Omari Spellman as well as West Virginia’s Jevon Carter, Brigham Young University’s Elijah Bryant and San Diego State’s Trey Kell.

I think the talent start to even out after the lottery and there's a bunch of talented guys who could go fall quite a bit. Mitchell Robinson, Johntay Porter, Josh Okogie just to name a few. For that reason i dont think it's necessary to trade up. That said, i'd love to get Zhaire Smith or Shai Gilgeus-Alexander so maybe we could make something happen there.

Kings passing on Doncic to draft Bagley or Trae Young is the most Kingsy thing to do ever.

Any thoughts on Kostas Antetokounmpo?

Just know who he’s related to. Nothing about his game. Potential. Etc
