Salary dump for what? To free cap to attract bron and George? What if they said no?

I liked nance. But if this helps us get more W. Why not.

Praying for  1. Some Cohesion (Ill fitting parts with young bucks, new guys, and those playing for next contracts may muck things up all season) 2. Better Coaching, No More Tanking (Last season was more of the latter but not sure how much of the former we can count on. Walton with something to prove this season as much as any Laker player) 3. Rookie Watch (Hoping Lonzo outshines his daddy (ROTY??), and Kuzma finds minutes and makes a push for all rook 2nd team)

READY FOR SEASON!!!

In fact we added an asset of a 1st rounder

What kind of 1 rounder? Early or late?

We got a better half of the trade.

The real irony in all of this though...

The Cleveland Cavaliers traded Kyrie Irving (arguably the best closer in the game and best PG in the Eastern Conference) for Jordan Clarkson, Larry Nance, and the Nets 1st round pick....

What a poorly ran organization.  Lebron will dip NO QUESTION.

Legit GREAT trade for the Lakers. Accomplished everything they could possibly want while giving up things they wanted to give up. A plus.

The way Luke kept insisting on Nance playing, l thought it would be a miracle if he got traded. Glad Clarkson started playing well enough the last couple of games and enticed the Cavs.

how do they want to play IT and Lonzo together??? WTF

IT will play out the rest of this irrelevant year and not be resigned. This is a pure salary dump and a great one at that. Got an asset. Gave up guys that weren’t part of the plan on longer term deals and got expiring money. Master stroke of a trade.

lol at anyone mad about this deal got rid of Clarkson's awful contract and got two expiring and a 1st

Will miss Larry but Hart has filled that role nicely

If they say no then you have money and the guys that actually mattered still under contract and you can use that to get other free agents. Clarkson and Nance are both decent players but they weren’t part of the Lakers plans going forward. This trade gets cap space and doesn’t even hurt the team in the short term, they are likely a better squad now than they were prior to the trade and that is without taking into account that this season is completely meaningless long term. The plan was always to groom the guys that would be part of the plan going forward and to free cap space to make moves.

How protected is the Cleveland pick? Because they aren’t exactly killing it in the wins losses column right now lol

Lottery this season. I believe unprotected next. Either way. Lakers got Kuz at 27 and Hart at 30. They can draft with this FO.
