The Lakers had a team meeting yesterday instead of practice. Luke Walton gave players the floor to discuss whatever was on their mind. Lots of talk about frustrations guy were feeling, both on the court and with the business of the organization.

Lakers had a team meeting yesterday where players aired grievances about what’s happening on the court and, per Brandon Ingram, “the business of the organization.”

“Everybody on the team said something on how they feel,” Kyle Kuzma said.

Magic came in, traded a former #2 pick, then said everyone outside of Ingram and Lonzo was expendable while continuously boasting about the teams plan to sign 2 max free agents.

That’s not how you run a team. I have no problems with this new regime, but that’s not a good look, and now we’re seeing the consequences.

Basically telling your employees - we have no intention of keeping you or promoting you, yields bad results

I mean most people slack off work when they put that two weeks in

And people wonder why Mitch spoke without actually saying much.  Magic has always been an ol happy smiley mf.  Not sure why we thought that would change when he able to run the Lakers.

Better they did this than not.

Probably go 0-3 next 3 all at home too

Praying for  1. Some Cohesion (Ill fitting parts with young bucks, new guys, and those playing for next contracts may muck things up all season) 2. Better Coaching, No More Tanking (Last season was more of the latter but not sure how much of the former we can count on. Walton with something to prove this season as much as any Laker player) 3. Rookie Watch (Hoping Lonzo outshines his daddy (ROTY??), and Kuzma finds minutes and makes a push for all rook 2nd team)

READY FOR SEASON!!!

surprise, surprise. a twitter blowhard with no experience managing large organizations can't run a professional sports franchise. who would have thought? dude isn't even qualified to drive an ice cream truck.

If reporters like @taniaganguli and @billoram were really good at their job, we’d already know which Laker brought the aluminum pole to the team meeting and who won feats of strength. AK

"Andrew Bogut cited injuries, rotations and how "everyone knows what is going on with the salary-cap situation next season."

This!

Injuries: Lonzo, Nance and Lopez has been out.

Rotations: Randle hardly playing.

Cap: Guys like Randle, Clarkson, Lopez and KCP all know that there is a good chance they're not Lakers going forward.

You cant control the injuries, but the other areas should be dealt with.

Realization is starting to kick in as for those that know they aren't in the Lakers future. To be expected.

I think there's a chance.

A chance mind you that what is happening...and i've always loved a good conspiracy theory...that some of our players are so disgusted with the organization, have been told they won't be a part going forward, know for the most part their true value has already been established around the league no matter how they play for the next month, and have chosen to mail it in HOPING the lakers get the least amount back for any trade of them to sort of screw the organization back.

Far fetched?

Maybe.

Also maybe not

But wouldn't they be driving down their own value?

Heres my take:

It was a brutal stretch.

We have a young and inexperienced team.

We have no star/stud/all star to lean on, count on and defer to.

Ball's injury is affecting us more than some care to admit.

Rotations are still suspect.
