Wouldnt be a bad idea but what could we get back? Thats an expiring contract and a solid role player on a financially friendly contract. I wonder what they could net us....

I can't believe this guy was offer a 80 mill contract and he turned it down thinking he could get max. He will be lucky to get another 10 mill in his career the way he playing now, especially if hart starts over him which he should be.

These situations almost always end poorly for the players. Seen it a million times across all sports. Never turn down guaranteed money even if you think you deserve more.

Too bad he has some better stats here in LA. His stats does not tell the whole story (of course). A bench role may not be the best fit for him either, where he does not have to share the ball as much. His defense is a bit overrated too. He is obviously too small to guard bigger wings and he does not posses an elite set of tools in terms of quickness and responsiveness against guards. But you can not argue his willingness to compete.
Nevertheless, i'd like to keep him if he accepts a lesser role (i mean money but you get it). I think he is overrated based on his price tag. With a reasonable contract, he can be a solid role player if he continues to shoot above average from 3 and give effort nigh in and night out.

Nothing wrong with KCP for the right price.

Sure. The question is what that price is.
If we get Paul George i think it's going to be tough to keep KCP because you'd either have to ask George or BI to start at the 4 or ask KCP to come off the bench. Not sure that's a good idea.
If we dont get Paul George the question is if KCP is good enough to become the long-term investment at the SG spot. I'm not so sure about that, but given that it really is a buyers market this summer i think you might be able to get him at somewhat of a discount, which i'd be ok with.
Not sure what is price tag is, but i know that you probably could absorp Wes Matthews's expiring contract for free which would be close to a lateral move that keeps our flexibility for 2019. I also think Wayne Ellington could be had at half the price that KCP would demand. Ellington is as good as KCP defensively and one of the best shooters in the league. Stuff like that should be kept in mind when they're deciding whether or not to keep him.
