Yea I'm just not seeing it.

Otto Warmbier says "hello".

Can’t really compare to being held in North Korea. I would kill myself before being tortured like him. That was scary and sad AF.

Incredibly dumb for those bruins to act up in a foreign country. Hopefully they can make it right quickly. What are they accused of stealing?

This is China, not the DPRK.

Those kids may catch a break because POTUS is in China.

Is LaVar a Trump supporter? Or have a Mar-a-Lago membership?

I know it's not the same place.  It's still a communist country with strict laws and strict law enforcement.  These kids don't have the "luxury" of having American lawyers and having this processed through the US legal system.

I think its more that its in china which could mean they could face years in prison. They are very strict there. Though if any of them serve time then say goodbye to NCAA coming to china like this again and they will lose a lot of NBA support as well. If they did in fact steal that is wrong and they should probably get kicked off the team or at least suspended for a while but serving time in a foreign country for shoplifting is a bit much.

Nah man. It's China, not the Soviet Union lol. It's not that bad. They're out on bail already.

It's an international incident.  This could be huge.

Nah. Only cause of his last name. Were the other two even named? They're already out.

We'll see what happens.  In my opinion China would be wise not to make an example of these kids if they have any interest in the U.S. continuing to send over our collegiate and professional players.  If these were just regular kids on a trip I'd be worried but ya know different rules for different people.  May not be fair but that's life.

It's bad enough they were shoplifting in the first place but what if the LV sunglasses they supposedly lifted was a knock off? It is China afterall.

So that’s the item? Wow. How does a salesperson let them go with them? Those have to be locked up I’d think.

That's what I was thinking. If they aren't behind the counter, they're probably knockoffs.

These kids didn't take anything.  Just some made up crap by the Chinese Police due to the President being in town.  Bail + Hotel room should give that away.  The Chinese would love nothing more than to embarrass the U.S. while the President is in town, so why not release the security footage to prove these three took something.   I bet LiAngelo didn't even touch the merchandise, but it's guilt by association.

Right.

POTUS: Tell you what...you give us that Ball kid back, and we'll let you keep hacking all our major companies, newer technologies (see wind turbine theft among others), software pirating, intercepting our fighter jets, take over the global leadership role from the US, and outmaneuvering everything we try on the world stage and we'll call it even.

Good negotiation

Praying for  1. Some Cohesion (Ill fitting parts with young bucks, new guys, and those playing for next contracts may muck things up all season) 2. Better Coaching, No More Tanking (Last season was more of the latter but not sure how much of the former we can count on. Walton with something to prove this season as much as any Laker player) 3. Rookie Watch (Hoping Lonzo outshines his daddy (ROTY??), and Kuzma finds minutes and makes a push for all rook 2nd team)

READY FOR SEASON!!!

They should get kicked off the team if they were stealing from multiple stores
