Luke needs Lonzo. Not sure that Lonzo needs Luke.

Lonzo needs a new coach and system. Luke needs to go back to his role in GS.

I actually think we should be better. I also think Ball isn't being used to his fullest potential. Lopez is also being misused. He's been an elite post player his entire career but is simply a stretch 5 here. Kuzma was riding the bench for no reason.

There has been a bunch of confusing decisions made by Luke

Lopez should not have the offense centered around him.

Lonzo Brandon and Kuz should be the focus along with putting JC and Julius in position to be successful.

All of that has occured.
Lopez and KCP should be filling in blanks not defining our offense.

Lonzo is getting his confidence back as well as his nba legs.

Kuz is being critiqued for his lack of defense.

Luke is not the problem

When we traded Dlo for Ball yo have this team... we essentially negated any growth yhe team made from last year.

Now we reset with a ypung gun team minus a few games without 2 or more starters.

Luke has been terrible for the Lakers. Firing him now doesn't make sense because next seasons roster could be very different, so I guess we're stucked with him. But there's no way to make a case for him to continue here after this season ends, he's one of the worst coaches in the NBA and we all know it.

Luke’s making me miss Bryon. I swear. He needs to choke a ref do something to stand up for his team. He’s losing them if he hasn’t figured it out. I’m disappointed in him he has to be better.

One thing I will say is lakers on paper had much more talent this year. The only big loss was Dlo and Kuz easily matches his output plus more. Right now we are on pace to be a sub 20 win team with the 3-16 record over the last 19 games.

Lou and Nick Young were talented.

We expected bigger leaps from the kids perhaps but thats optimistic.

Other teams received talent additions.

Brook Lopez hasnt been good or healthy and KCP is a minus from Nick Young at this point last season.

Lonzo is a rook vs Dlo who was 2nd year.

Wasnt a big upgrade if one at all.

Luke is asking them to make the extra pass but these guys dont seem to play with trust without Lonzo leading the way.

We're fine people, Luke's doing a wonderful job. We should give him a 10 year contract 😒

Luke wants to look at the tape to see why the team just flat out gave up.

I guess all those assistants and timeouts are for nothing.

This team was terribly constructed going back to the Summer. Lost our primary shooters and the FO didn't attempt to fix that issue.

As for Luke, his rotations and minutes have been questionable. But it's hard to fully judge him without a competent roster. One thing that needs to be done is him actually hiring a competent assistant staff and not just his Arizona alumni.

No way any free agent is going to take a look at this team. And at this rate, we're just gift-wrapping Boston the #1 pick.

We were hit by a brutal schedule during which its obvious the kids have hit a wall in addition to losing Zo whose impact is affecting us more than some care to acknowledge.

Didn't the Lakers just play a lot of top teams over that stretch? They played most of the best teams really tough. Last year's Lakers would have gotten buried in many of those games. I don't know what the team's going to do, but a win-loss projection based on the toughest stretch of the schedule isn't exactly good science.

I watch all the games, and despite a few times not showing up, this team is playing much better than last season. It's obvious to the eye. The final record isn't going to tell the whole story, or the most important one. Do they have the fight and the brains to get better and to be consistently competitive? Have to watch and see.

We need to get back to winning tonight.  Lonzo's back.

Would like to see Hart get more of KCPs minutes.

Randle is getting a little more run, now that he's starting.

I'd like to see what it looked like, if we consistently ran Lonzo/Hart/Ingram/Kuzma/Randle together.   At least 4 of those guys are a big part of our future.

Was at the Thunder game.

We have no offense. Literally 4 guys standing around on the perimeter while someone iso'd into a bad shot. Steven Adams knew exactly what to do to shade over and stop any drives. It was so easy. Ingram looked like Smush Parker when being defended by Paul George.

I was close enough to see that while Thunder call plays in the half court, nobody on the Lakers does. The Thunder were running nice actions, double balls screens, dribble pitches, etc. And they're known for having a bad offense relative to their talent level.

Meanwhile Tyler Ennis looks clueless out there. And clarkson doesn't do anything either. 0 communication on offense.

We need a coaching change. It's January, no more excuses.

Head coach Luke Walton was asked if he feels like his job is ever in jeopardy during the Lakers' eight-game slide despite majority owner Jeanie Buss tweeting strong support for Walton on New Year's Eve complete with the hashtag "InLukeWeTrust." "No, I coach as if it's not," Walton said after asked about coaching as if his job is on the line. "As I preach to my players that control what you can control in life, that has to be my philosophy as a coach as well... [Team president Magic Johnson and general manager Rob Pelinka] have been great, they have been supportive. They obviously understand where we are at as a team and what we are trying to do and what the big picture is… [Buss] has been incredible. I've talked with her a lot during the season. She has been around this game for a long time. She knows when to be supportive and she has been really great to work with."

It's about time he gets asked about his job security.
