They aren't close to each other as far as athleticism.

If Lonzo is average, Russell is below.
If Russell is average, Lonzo is above.

We shouldn't have to argue about that...

Lonzo is probably above considering height, size, speed, strength, elevation, quickness, stamina all go into athleticism

The thing he lacks is quickness but he does have above average in everything else

Name one thing where Russell is more athletic.

Point of the statement was they aren't the same. Lonzo is a better athlete than Russell.

I never said they were. Though I'll say Russell is stronger by far but that's probably it

If that's your opinion, fine.

If you are seriously making that claim, I call bull.

bull on what? Most starting PG's are comparable athletically. There are a few couple of elite guys that separate themselves from the rest.

Where would you rank him athletically in his own draft class? He certainly wasn't #1.

He's not even the most athletic guard on our team.

Not sure how you can use above average and Clarkson in the same sentence.  Lou Williams is an above average scoring guard.  Jordan Clarkson is average AT BEST

Disagree on clarkson being behind. I think he's just right where he should be. An above average scoring guard

Randles development has been slow

I think clarkson gets called out by people who expect more from him. He's kinda what I expect from him. He's 12-15ppg, really good in transition, and a solid secondary ball handler

That's kinda all there is to him lol

He's not on starting PG level athletically...I don't buy that claim.

I haven't made a claim about him in his draft class.

Not being the most athletic guard on the team has nothing to do with his comparison to Russell or other starting POINT Guards in the NBA.

If Clarkson is averaging 15 ppg on your team, you probably have a pretty good chance at getting the #1 pick in the draft.

I consider anything 15ppg or higher above average

I mean it depends what you consider above average. I mean I don't see much separation between Lou Williams and clarkson. Outside of Lou Williams having been in the league longer and therefore being a veteran

In fact Lou Williams and clarkson in a statistical comparison, clarkson comes out in front by far

I disagree.  Lou started out in the same mold as Clarkson.  If Clarkson came off the bench for the next 3 years, he'd be in the conversation for 6th Man of the Year, just like Lou.

Again, what skill doesn't Clarkson have as a guard?  Not what he doesn't do a lot or what you WANT to see him do...what CAN'T he do?

You can say the same thing about Lou Williams...if the other starters aren't good, he's not carrying your team anywhere.

I disagree. Off the bench he's a worthwhile guy. I think if he's starting for you you're probably lottery bound but around the league I don't see much off the bench I'd consider leagues ahead of clarkson

I never said that. I said he is closer to average than elite. Most starting PG's are comparable to Lonzo athletically. Which, by definition, would make him average. Russell was a terrible athlete but I never said anything about him.

This conversation will continue to go in circles...let's just agree to disagree and let it die, my friend.
