Huge news nearly confirmed!

Tickets for december 18th already at 775 $ the cheapest(!!!)

Also the Lakers told their fans, that they sould already keep their tickets for that game and mustnt sell it, because they have planned something "SPECIAL".

I hope they retire BOTH Jersey numbers and I think they will!

The Los Angeles Lakers will retire Kobe Bryant's jersey before their game against the Golden State Warriors on Dec. 18, sources confirmed to ESPN's Ramona Shelburne.

It's not yet clear which of the numbers Bryant wore with the Lakers (Nos. 8 and 24) will be retired.

"[Whichever number they choose] it'll be pretty hard for someone else to wear the other one," Bryant told Shelburne in August 2016.

If I had to choose, 24 should be retired

You might as well retire both. No way anyone is going to use either number.

I thought it was pretty obvious that both numbers would be retired.

In any case, any reminder that Kobe Bryant is no longer playing basketball depresses me greatly.

Should've tried for tickets when I saw this on reddit a few days ago. Oh well. Glad both are being retired. He'll always be Laker great #8 Kobe Bryant to me.

Only 1 number for statue. Wonder which.

Congrats Kobe!

Excited for  1. Lebron! (Still love me some Kobe, but damn this guy is amazing) 2. Another big get (Whether in FA or in a trade we need some attractions and closers) 3. Young Guys making big jump (Assuming we have anyone left after more necessary moves either genius ones or in desperation)

READY FOR SEASON!!!

Number 8 was the kid turned Hall of Famer.
24 was a superstar turned legend then an icon.

Kobe statue has to be either the 81 point game when he was leaving the court with his finger in the air or a baseline fadeaway shot.

The number has to be 24 on the front and 8 on the back.

Another Kobe statue could be when he was flexing his jersey against the hornets in 08?

I think the statue is rather obvious.
