I am disappointed Kobe won’t be helping with the upcoming free agency. I know he believes he shouldn’t have to ‘sell’ players to be here but it’d be nice if he shows loyalty for the team/city that took care of him and his family so well. He’s looking ungrateful if you ask me.

Bye for now

Well it looks Kobe did help out with free agency this time.

Favorite 10 Kobe moments...
65 at home vs Portland to stop 7 game losing streak and the run that followed
Game 4 gw vs Suns
Game 2 gw vs Pistons
3rd quarter run in game 5 of 2010 Finals
62 vs Dallas
81
Run prior to his Achilles tear. There was a Toronto game. A Hawks game. 26-12.
Bank in GW vs Wade.
4 point play vs Spain.
60 point finale.

Honorable mention.
Portland Clutch 3s in final game of season.
2010 WCFs.
2009 WCFs.
Actually every WCFs.

I have two specific moments that stand out:

Walking off the court with a torn achilles tendon after making his FTs.

The no-flinch situation with Matt Barntes.

You did see Jeanie say she is always trying to get Kobe involved with the Lakers right? I rest my case. When camp opens I’d like to see Kobe make one of these inspirational speeches.... to the Lakers.

My favorite Kobe moment was when he was singing along to AC/DC (hells bells I believe) that was being played coming out of a time out. Anyone remember that?

More rumors of Kobe coming out of retirement today. The BIG3 League believes he will play with one of their teams next season.

I highly doubt he plays in the BIG3 unless he was given some sort of financial interest in the league. I doubt he plays basketball ever again. But if he did, I just can't see it anywhere but the NBA.

hey

While It’d be fun to see Kobe play again, I don’t think people want to remember how bad he looked after the Achilles. Just stupid rumors. I’m not sure where these things are coming from? They are a bit strange. Until I see kobe training in the gym with 4am sessions it’s all bull[expletive] to me. I’m no fan of the big 3, I couldn’t really see Kobe playing in it. They are probably the only ones trying to push the rumors. Kobe could come out again and say he’s done and that would end it. He hasn’t, so I’ll give it a one percent chance.

Kobe wouldn’t regulate to such a league, even if cube has been a hue supporter. Kobe would play with lebron if anything. I doubt Kobe wants add anything else to his legacy.

Kobe's moved on from playing basketball. He's implemented mamba mentality into his new goals: story-telling, basketball analysis videos for younger generation, etc.

Besides, if he was to return to playing basketball, it would dilute his Oscar-winning Dear Basketball.

Mamba day

This guy. From All Star weekend as a rookie. To the airballs vs Utah. The "how good is this kid" game...
His playiff run during 16-1 was ridiculous. The 3peat. His run the following year when he surpassed Shaq for good. The court case games. First year no Shaq with Atkins and Butler. His 35 point season including 81 and 62 vs 61. Game 4 finish vs Suns. 65 point game in 06-07 to stop historic losing streak followed by 3 more 50 point efforts.MVP season including trip to Finals. 2 straight titles.GW after Gaw season. Fractured arm season where criticism was high. Dwight Nash Season where you willed us in the playoffs ,including classics against Nets Hawks, at Portland, and vs Raptors. Achilles FTs. In a 6 game season you delivered a clutch performance at Memphis. Clutch game vs Pacers. 7 game vintage run in past season. 60 point finale.

Did I miss anything notable.

Yes. Portland classic GW and NY classic.

This video randomly appeared on my Youtube feed and boy did it bring back memories.

Kobe has always been known for his scoring ability and although he got his fair share of All-Team defense awards, I think many people forget just how great of a 1-on-1 defender he is.

Not many players get give you a plethora of buckets on one end, all while locking up the opposing teams #1 option.

Miss you Kobe. It's hard to find another current Laker hell even another NBA player to get attached to... Just shows how much this guy was a legend and what he meant for us (at least to me) simply by his presence.
