Shaq although great could have been so much greater if he wanted it like the Mamba did! Shame but it’s history now that’s how our franchise declined, I’m happy with Luke and the FO solid moves but the juries still out!

Watched the acceptance speech, and really liked that Kobe threw some short and sweet shade at the whole "shut up and dribble" thing. It is interesting seeing his struggle to find a muse after basketball. Kobe walked off into the sunset after hanging 60 on the Jazz and then got two numbers in the rafters. That was supposed to be the end of the story. Out of sight, out of mind. But wait, there's more.

For anyone getting older, wiser, past their prime, and not good enough to hang with the best...this is meaningful.

I thought Laura Ingraham's "shut up and dribble" comments were ill-conceived.

However, there is some irony in that Kobe's movie was about, well, basketball.

Hopefully, there's more to come on the creative front from Kobe.

Well this is a first step in a journey for Kobe. He basically just won an Oscar for his farewell letter to the game. So yeah, it had to do with basketball....but from a thematic/narrative perspective Kobe's writing could be applied to any craft or discipline, and it's something that speaks to a large range of individuals who are growing and developing with time and coming to grips with age and the prospect of diminishing talents and ability.
