Is Kobe one of the 50 greatest black athletes of all-time?

ESPN doesn't have Kobe as a top 50 of all time black athlete lol.

They have Tim Duncan, Isiah Thomas.LeBron, Curry, Shaq, and Jordan ahead of him.

Not to try to stir a debate again but just to push ESPN's buttons:

Two very differentvapproachs to this game, one takes the challenges and succedes the other is floundering in his own way.

So much disrespect!

1. I didn't even know Jeter was black!

2. How the hell is Curry over Bron...or Ken Griffey?

3. No Kobe, Tiger, or Mayweather!

4. Why is Fitzgerald even on that list?

5. Gabby Douglas and Simone Biles both in the top 10 is ridiculous

Kobe being my favorite player ever and the one who literally gave me more chills, and smiles than any other...with Magic being 2nd.

Having said that...I have Lebron being the better player and overall career by 2019.

Not now.

But 2 more years.

Regardless of if he even gets to another finals appearance, let alone wins 1 or 2.

Praying for  1. Some Cohesion (Ill fitting parts with young bucks, new guys, and those playing for next contracts may muck things up all season) 2. Better Coaching, No More Tanking (Last season was more of the latter but not sure how much of the former we can count on. Walton with something to prove this season as much as any Laker player) 3. Rookie Watch (Hoping Lonzo outshines his daddy (ROTY??), and Kuzma finds minutes and makes a push for all rook 2nd team)

READY FOR SEASON!!!

Switching teams again will make it to where I never put him above Kobe. Could you imagine if Prime Kobe went to the Spurs? If Kobe team jumped every time he didn't make the finals or lost in the finals he'd have 8 or 9 rings. Seriously, imagine if we kept Shaq, but Kobe went to Miami or another Eastern Conference team that already had a star.

LeBron SHOULD HAVE BEEN the best of all time and I'm sure that if he could redo his career he would change some things. His mentality is simply far too weak to put above Kobe or MJ imo.

I think that he is overhyped right now because he's the face of the NBA. Once Bron retires, people will give him a fair ranking which is somewhere between 5-10 all time.

Shaq was on a bunch of teams too (and a lot more than lebron...we dont even know if they'll be a 3rd team), but i dont think it hurts Shaqs legacy too much.

A little, but not a lot.

Whats important anyway?

Some say money

Some say winning

Some say numbers.

LeBron ends up with all these.

Jordan doesnt have as many rings as Russell but no one puts russell ahead of MJ in all time.

At least no one reasonable. And under 80.

I dont want to diminish LBJ for controlling his destiny and every team he's been on ones too. and its a fair debate where anyone ranks him anywhere 3-8 depending on bias

Shaq was pretty much forced out of LA, then started to decline a year later. Those situations aren't similar. LeBron's first move was fine, but going back to Cleveland only because he thought he could compete wasn't. Now he's going to leave his home again in order to chase a ring because he can't beat GS? It's getting ridiculous!

He is hopping teams and ring chasing yet he still only has 3 right now! What if Hakeem joined the Bulls?

LeBron IS one of the greatest but the team jumping is something that I just can't agree with.

Fair point. If it drops him a peg or 2 in all time conversation.

But c'mon 3 rings is pretty damn good.

How many current players can you name with more?

Quick.

And don't use the internet.

Three rings is great. I'm simply talking about why he won't ever be a top 2 or 3 player imo. There are just some players that I don't feel that he could ever pass while team jumping.
