Good day in the Laker offseason no doubt.

Note: If the Lakers are entertaining the idea of signing Rondo, I'm not convinced Ball will start day 1.

Yet.

Especially if held out the rest of summer league as sample size

BTW Pope already my 2nd favorite laker after BI

Who will start? Magic?

IMO Rondo is the better player right now. And its not close.

Both cant shoot for shiit

Also Lonzo and by extension his poppa may learn a lot by being knocked down a peg.

I want Lonzo to be in the convo for rookie of the year and for that he'll need the minutes.
But if i want to win games?
At the NBA level?
Rondo gets the nod.
(moot if he isnt signed..so we can argue later)

Byron says hi. Rondo is not the better player in Luke's system. He won't pass the ball until 15secs in to the shot clock. Also, Lonzo is a much better shooter than Rondo by a mile

believe it or not fido there's a lot of Chicago fans that wish we would do that and take Wade off their hands.

I have no idea why.

The issue is if we took wade it defeats the whole KCP move. I say we find a way to get Deng to Minny

Great move!

Actually think we have a shot @ the playoffs now.

Put the pipe down JGuez

Praying for  1. Some Cohesion (Ill fitting parts with young bucks, new guys, and those playing for next contracts may muck things up all season) 2. Better Coaching, No More Tanking (Last season was more of the latter but not sure how much of the former we can count on. Walton with something to prove this season as much as any Laker player) 3. Rookie Watch (Hoping Lonzo outshines his daddy (ROTY??), and Kuzma finds minutes and makes a push for all rook 2nd team)

READY FOR SEASON!!!

lol I still think we're like a 35 win team but if Ingram and Randle take leaps this year I can actually see us beating that.

KCP isn't like a top SG or anything like that but his defense legitimizes this team and I think he will fit in perfectly.

Yeah..but we can agree on that yet still think playoffs are simply beyond reach.

Short of an amazing over achieving team.

Which just seems unlikely due to unfamiliarity, youth, and 4 or 5 guys playing for contracts.

And that's not taking into account the tough WC.

Swimming against current to get there for sure

This is a tremendous move. you gotta crawl before you walk, we havn't signed a good free agent since Ron Artest.

In order for Lakers to attract free agents we have to get better. This signing does a few things.

1. We have a legit 2 guard, with lock down defense, his specialty is perimeter defense and 3 point shooting, we need both.

2. He takes pressure off Lonzo, he can guard any PG and him, Lonzo and Ingram are interchangable on D.

3. This move relegates Clarkson to the bench, our 6 man is now in place.

4. Lastly it's a one year deal, he has LeBrons agent, we can sign 2 max contracts next summer, and because we have his and Randles bird rights. We are gonna be loaded. Sample team next year.

Lonzo
Kcp
Paul George
Ingram
Cousins

Clarkson
Randle
Nance
Hart
Zubac
Kuzma
Free agent

Dude that is a great squad

I'd offer Lou Will as being a damn good FA signing.

Artest came to a squad that had 2 allstars in kobe and Pau.

2 more very good players in Bynam and Odom.

Lou came to basically a tanking stinking impossible to watch mess

How bout not derailing the thread with the petty insults.

If ya'll have a problem you can deal with it in the PMs or ignore each other.  But that kind of personal stuff and body shaming or attacks or whatever is going on isn't needed from either side.
