Not sure if I was suppose to make a new thread considering we've been discussing this in numerous threads, but anyways, Congrats Westbrook.

Got to love the speech.

Huge double standard. If he won it this year with a sub 50 win team then we should redo all the awards from past years.

Good speech. Terrific season.

Awful that the voting criteria changes every single season.

Completely well-deserved. Incredible that the man didn't suffer any major injuries laying his body out on the line all over the place the way he did this past season especially game after game.

Love me Russ.

One of the best seasons I can literally ever remember anyone having.

Harden too

Westy tops them all. Unreal.

In other news, its been 4 full seasons since LBJ won, which also seems unreal.

Not like the guys not playing well. Wow

Praying for  1. Some Cohesion (Ill fitting parts with young bucks, new guys, and those playing for next contracts may muck things up all season) 2. Better Coaching, No More Tanking (Last season was more of the latter but not sure how much of the former we can count on. Walton with something to prove this season as much as any Laker player) 3. Rookie Watch (Hoping Lonzo outshines his daddy (ROTY??), and Kuzma finds minutes and makes a push for all rook 2nd team)

This is how the award should be given out every season.

Russ was a top three player in the NBA (I'll argue second best), and was far and away the most important to his team.  As long as you take them to the playoffs, those things should complete the criteria.
