Last Season

He had shown semblance of a post game where when he got going they couldn't stop him last season, however he got away from that this season because he moved his game out to the perimeter a bit more.   But he showed an improved jumper.   Thus due to his work ethic he was able to add 13 inches to his vertical in that off-season.

Currently 6'11 with a 7'6 wingspan, this kid has the potential to be what Robert Upshaw was supposed to be.  And without the baggage.  Will look forward to watching him be a back up to Zu one day, and as it stands given his style of play and his running the floor, we may not have to go "small" as much after all, once he comes into his own.

Welcome to the Lakers.

Im not going to assume he's going to be Zubac's backup.  If anything Bryant is more of an the archtype we'd want for a starter than Zubac.

Couple him with Randle for the ultimate bully-ball frontcore

BTW, we need a thread for PJ Dozier too.

Maj, you'll need to figure out a nickname for him  ^_^

Never been a huge fan of his. He didn't live up to the hype at Indiana. Not extremely athletic, doesn't rebound or use his length well at all. Will get exposed if he has to switch in the pick and roll. Not a good man defender either. Plays with passion but I'm not expecting much from him, if he even makes the roster.

Strength does not come from physical capacity. It comes from an indomitable will.

Just heard in a Laker podcast that he wasn't who they were looking to score with the 42nd pick (not the case with Kuzma and Hart). Didn't mentioned who was, so now I'm curious...

Maybe they thought Bell would still be there.  I think more likely Tyler Dorsey considering the importance we're putting on shooting and the belief that Clarkson's days in a Laker uniform are numbered for mostly cap reasons.

He has the tools that are better for today's game.  I have 0 doubts that if he gets into NBA shape he will displace Zu very quickly in the rotation.

- Has shown a decent range for a 5

- Runs the floor extremely well

- Hustles for loose boards

- Plays with more heart and toughness than most guys I've seen

Good work Magic, Pelinka, and Ryan

Actually that would be very sad... I was hoping so much more from Zu, he looked like [expletive] tonight, no effort at all. Bryant was running, going after rebounds, playing some D, great energy and REALLY LONG ARMS (already knew that but still... wow). You might have a point.
