Package up Lopez/Deng and some other throw away player for Okafor.

Who said anything about Philly being the only team involved?

Im just going to assume you don't know much about the contracts involved, team intentions on either side and the CBA rules.

Why the FO and anyone else thought that Brook Lopez would be anything else other than a liability on the basketball court is beyond me.

We can't make correlations between Brook Lopez and the Deng/Mozgov deals. There's no drop off in talent here. Brook was always terrible defensively, and could never rebound. His offensive stats were always inflated due to the Nets being very bad and playing against inferior teams in the ECF.

Brook's actually been solid defensively.  His offense has never been inflated.  He's pretty much always been able to score regardless of the talent on the team.  He's proved to me this year he's quality in the 22-25mpg range.  If they pull off these max signings he'd be great at the MLE price.

Brook's biggest problem is he makes himself small when he plays. I also think he is caught between trying to play for a big contract and going down with a so-called injury to cover up being average for a contract. Stay Tuned

No drop off in talent?  I know you're still upset about Russell but come on.

I don't know how you come up with this.  Do you know the man? Are you in the locker room?  He's probably one of the few that seems to give effort regardless of what he's asked to do.  The fact he added a 3 pt shot to his resume last year speaks to this.  He's a quality NBA player with some flaws.  Pretty much like most good players.

I've noticed that too.

Always crouching and slurking

Excited for  1. Lebron! (Still love me some Kobe, but damn this guy is amazing) 2. Another big get (Whether in FA or in a trade we need some attractions and closers) 3. Young Guys making big jump (Assuming we have anyone left after more necessary moves either genius ones or in desperation)

READY FOR SEASON!!!

lol I don’t think he mean literally “small” but, play style.
not boxing out, not rebounding, taking jump shots when he has a post game, not out muscling men he’s bigger than

if Lopez was averaging 28 and 8 we would scoff at it as “contract year”

Maybe if he continues stinking we can get him on the low on a contender

Still...watch him creeping all over the court.

Brook isn't a great rebounder per the individual stats but he does box out.  It's been said that his teammates rebound percentage rise with him.  I haven't researched this but I've heard this theory a lot.  He's never played on a bad rebounding team either so there may be some truth to this.  He boxes out well but someone else recovers the ball.

Defensively he has his moments since he's 7 feet tall, offensively he's been extremely inconsistent. He and KCP are wild cards each game that it makes them a pain to watch. They're not the consistent veteran producers that the team needs and in my opinion it makes them useless considering they're 37 million dollars combined.

He’s always bent over at an angle. His running is comical.

Kinda like Bush ducking when those shoes were thrown at him come to think
