All these babies are going to need some time in the league. If Kobe had to wait a year and a half then so can these guys. Randle or Nance could be the odd man or men out depending on how this year goes. At the end of the day Nance nor Randle set the house on fire but it may come down to who fits the financial budget the best

You didn't even look at the lineup I'm guessing.

if the Lakers wanted to run small ball with the bench they'd use this lineup

Jordan Clarkson

Ian Clark
Corey Brewer

Kyle Kuzma
Larry Nance Jr.

Which would directly effect Zubac's minutes. It's almost like you forgot they could play Nance at small ball 5 with the bench or something within your diatribe.

When did we sign Clark

Randle is our best small ball 5.  Zubac is not a small ball 5.  ANY small ball 5 option will take away minutes from Zu.

Or did you forget that?

Did you forget that its the bench lineup.

Dunno how much more clear I can make that.

Really like his game. His passing, ability to run the floor and space it as well is a eye-opener. And he has the potential to be a really good defender as well. Seems very fluid for his size. A viable post game would be the icing on the cake but I'm far from mad with what he's shown so far. I know its early but he's looking like the steal of the draft.

And that's the thing...I REALLY liked Tatum. Still do in fact. Think he's gonna be terrific once his frame fills out. But his game has been strictly iso scoring from what I've seen so far in summer league.

Kuz's game has been much more well rounded and diverse. And he's a willing passer, which means the ball doesn't stick when he possess it. He's Tatum with more length, bulk, and passing ability. Not quite the polished iso scorer from the wing like Tatum but he has it in him. I've seen him take guys off the dribble, use hesi's and step backs. Just doesn't do it consistently but if given a couple years to develop, he could be a complete scoring threat and a nightmare for opposing 4's to deal with. He could probably play some 3 and not miss a beat down the road when that part of his game develops more. Not advocating he play on the wing for extended periods of time but he could in spots and take advantage of opposing 3's on the block. He will be a versatile chess peice moving forward, dictating match-ups and being able to switch between guarding 3's and 4's. That's excatly what this offense AND defense needs.

High marks to FO so far imo.

Big tests later for sure, but have to give them credit, for trade, drafting, KCP signing.

If anything, holding BI out all SL after a brief cramp (in the desert where cramping is more common due to dehydration, etc) was the only negative so far.

Praying for  1. Some Cohesion (Ill fitting parts with young bucks, new guys, and those playing for next contracts may muck things up all season) 2. Better Coaching, No More Tanking (Last season was more of the latter but not sure how much of the former we can count on. Walton with something to prove this season as much as any Laker player) 3. Rookie Watch (Hoping Lonzo outshines his daddy (ROTY??), and Kuzma finds minutes and makes a push for all rook 2nd team)

READY FOR SEASON!!!

Ya this guy will be solid. Summer league competition aside, you can tell from his footwork and shot mechanics that he's pretty fundamentally sound.

Kuzma alone could potentially justify Russell's trade. We'll see

I know this is not gonna be popular here but If Kuzma continues on this pace, I'd trade him by trade deadline for Anthony Davis..

Question is: Will the Lakers agree?
