I'm guessing the reason why he was drafted so late was that, 1. He was a junior and older than most of the players that were considered to be selected with higher picks. 2. Poetl (last year's #9 pick by Raptors) played in Utah and did not shine all that much in his rookie season. So there must have been a bias against playing for a team that doesn't make the headlines much.

Otherwise, this kid has legit NBA talent. And not just one but three or four transitional talents. I haven't seen a player in a long time that not only attempts an hook shot, but also consistently makes it. I was surprised when I saw him make those in that combine game, and his other highlights from last year.

Rob Pelinka hammers home that Kyle Kuzma is a positionless player. Says they did backflips when he was available.

Serena Winters @SerenaWinters 6h6 hours ago

Rob Pelinka said Kyle Kuzma stood out in scrimmages and pickups in the gym past couple days, making great plays, ‘unbelievable passer.'

I think this says it all.

Build that stock up on all these young bucks.

I also notice how Magic dropped all the young guys names except Black, Thomas and Ennis. I'm here to cause chaos. Lol

Oddly I noticed that too. But the one missing that stood out the most was Black. How cool would it be for 1 of the 3 above to have a breakout season.

Kuzma is pretty much everything offensively I've been wanting out of Nance Jr the last year

Concern is him being soft as a rebounder. And I can assure you this dude won't be better than Nance. Not in year 1 or 2. Maybe a better fit than Julius.

Nance is underrated imo

Underrated at what exactly?  Kuzma coming in from college is a much better offensive rebounder.  Nance might be a smarter defender but contrary to believe he just didn't impact games like we thought he would.  This year is put up or shut up for him.  He's going to have to hit open shots and increase his volume

Nance is probably one of the more overrated prospects in a sense that he's gotten alot of love and admiration from fans due to the highlight dunks but in reality, his production has been quite minimal.

Nance was the glue when he played. When we played like an NBA team his contributionswere always solid. That's all

Nance has the potential to be a glue type guy, but there hasn't been anything to glue the past few seasons...

I'd place Nance maybe 6 or 7 on impact lakers next season.

And thats really bad with this roster.

Hustle active guy, but lets not overhype this guy.

Career 6 and 6 guy probably

Praying for  1. Some Cohesion (Ill fitting parts with young bucks, new guys, and those playing for next contracts may muck things up all season) 2. Better Coaching, No More Tanking (Last season was more of the latter but not sure how much of the former we can count on. Walton with something to prove this season as much as any Laker player) 3. Rookie Watch (Hoping Lonzo outshines his daddy (ROTY??), and Kuzma finds minutes and makes a push for all rook 2nd team)

READY FOR SEASON!!!

He's not Tarik or Thomas Robinson.

If Lonzo is the Magic of this team. Nance is Rambis
