Kuzma just needs that one really big game that will solidify him as a legit player in this league. If he had hit that 3 with .7 seconds left and then got to 30 in OT then maybe that would have been it. He just needs more touches and opportunity. I know hes getting quite a bit of time off the bench but even then he still is put on the weak side too often and just basically tasked to stand out by the 3 point line. He was very aggresive to get the ball last game which is why he got so many points. Run the offense to him more and magic will occur.

I'd say every so often, and it's not every year, there's a guy who just totally flips the draft on its head. Isaiah Thomas comes to mind, Gilbert arenas, manu ginobili, jokic is a recent example

I do believe kuzma is that guy. He's the guy that everyone but one team misses on and everyone is confused how they missed him.

Kuzma has legitimate 20+ppg potential. And even at just that he's a steal. But then you factor in the fact that this guy has skills. He handles the ball, he can pass, he can drive in. He moves the ball. He plays SMART. He's got a polished offensive game. He's big at 6-9 and athletic. He gives effort defensively and while he's not a stopper he plays more than adequate on that end

Obviously the lakers scouted the hell outta him. They obviously saw something pretty much no one else did because look. He's 6-9. I can't think of a team in the entire league that couldn't use him. He makes sense on every single roster.

And because he makes sense on every single roster that means that the lakers just saw something behind the curtain that no one else did. On the surface he looked one way to every team and another to the lakers

Because this isn't some undersized guard, or some unknown foreign player

This is a legitimate 6-9 good nba athlete with crazy skills

A couple of things kept Kuzma under the radar:

1. He went to Utah - hardly known as a basketball powerhouse.

2. He wasn't really a great scorer in college, just a good all around productive guy.

3. He stayed in school for three years.

Dude scored 21 like nothing. Barely got to touch the  ball in the 2nd due to this offense.

I mean there nothing more to tell than "like nothing" about him. He does everything "like nothing", it's crazy. I just can't stop but smile every time he does something positively... which is everytime :D

Was searching Kyle Kuzma on google and found out that the former porn star Traci Lords real last name is "Kuzma".  Any relation?  That would be interesting...

Good info GCMD

Praying for  1. Some Cohesion (Ill fitting parts with young bucks, new guys, and those playing for next contracts may muck things up all season) 2. Better Coaching, No More Tanking (Last season was more of the latter but not sure how much of the former we can count on. Walton with something to prove this season as much as any Laker player) 3. Rookie Watch (Hoping Lonzo outshines his daddy (ROTY??), and Kuzma finds minutes and makes a push for all rook 2nd team)

READY FOR SEASON!!!

Luke has been using Kuzma the right way so far.

He still needs to bulk up to NBA standards, and when I say bulk up I mean adding on muscle mass and still retaining his athletic explosiveness, I'm not talking about getting fat lol

Last thing we want to do is overplay Kuzma in his rookie year to where he ends up getting injured from all that banging inside the paint

Ingram and Lonzo need to take some pressure off Kuz

Kuz is young and thinks he can take on the world, of course he's gonna do whatever Luke tells him, but we all know he needs help in the paint

Kuz and Brook are becoming the #1 and #2 option on the Lakers

Brook was never meant to be a 25/10/2 guy over 35 minutes

Let's not overplay the Kuzma card yet and try to get 27/6 out of him over 36 minutes just yet

As long as Kuzma stays away from the Hollywood trash like the Kardashians then he will succeed. Dont go down the Lamar Odom road young man.

There isn't an immediate need for him to bulk up, but eventually yeah. It would be nice if he could eventually military press 2 plates on each side (225 lbs) for 12 reps deadlift 250 squat 275. Kobe use to be able to squat 315, he never had a hard time posting up LeBron. He can work on it during the offseason so he doesn't risk injury right now.

LeBron is on a supplement that will probably get banned the moment he retires. Kuz should get on it while he still can. He's playing the 3, sometimes the 4. On any other team, he would be shooting guard.

Kuzma isn't a surprise to anyone anymore. Him and Brook Lopez are the only Lakers right now that aren't afraid to get handed off the ball and run (step up Lonzo and Ingram!). Teams are going to start clamping down on him. He's going to need to bulk up in the years to come, KD eventually did. Teams are gonna start getting physical with him. Hopefully Randle will have his back and keep setting hard screens.

He did 3 seasons in Utah, he'll probably be fine, he wasn't in USC or Miami or anything like that. He hasn't been on TMZ so far unlike Jordan Clarkson who is on there every other week. The Kardashians are definitely going to target him just cause he's trending right now. He needs to avoid that trash like the plague. That family destroys everything they touch, and they do it just to get more Instagram followers. He can get any girl he wants low key, not trash just trying to use him for followers.

I think this guy is a future all star. I mean he's clearly our starter moving forward. He makes the offense so much easier for the starters. Lopez has it easier. Ball and Ingram both have it easier because this guy can space the floor, he knows what to do once he gets the ball, but he also can move the ball and play smart and most importantly quick. He makes fast decisions

He's quite the revelation. Super pumped about this guy. He's a blue chip prospect plain and simple. And he's a blue chipper that's playing like a blue chipper

There is nothing wrong with him bulking up with muscle mass. It will only benefit his game down low. His skill set is really refined but he’s at an age where he can refine it more, which is literally awesome.

Yep.

Its one of the things thats impressed me the most.

Even when his first choice is taken away by the defense, he reads things so well on the fly that his 2nd and 3rd choices happen before defense can adjust.

Using either hand helps, as does being comfortable changing directions on the way to the hoop.

Also w Nance going down i think we may find Kuz is a 30-35 minute player THIS YEAR.

And Nance is more 12-15 spot duty, energy guy.

Not a starter once he comes back.

Hope Walton figures that out and utilizes both to help team get where we want quicker

So I'm guessing that leaves Randle as being the 1-2 minute guy?

Works for me haha
