Laker fans should be worried about how terrible this team is but instead we simply have people that are obsessed with how others perceive rookies / being right as if they are paid to be a scout.

You know that if you look through the last few pages, the only time I really comment is when someone posts something that is obviously directed at me.

I've accepted Ball for what he is. I only posts to defend myself against the 3 or 4 people that feel the need to constantly direct posts at me.

I dont have to posts every time I feel Ball plays poorly, yall know how I feel.

Exactky. We know how you feel.
any positive thing said about ball is not a slight against your view.
I know your SN. If I wanna mention you I will or I’ll quote your ball analysis

Dude...I'm not stupid. I can tell when posts are obviously directed toward me. I'm pretty sure others can tell as well. I don't attack all positive Ball posts. My post about Ball prior to this discussion was a positive one. If Ball plays well I say so, both here and in the gameday thread. There are simply 3 or 4 people that act as if I intentionally come around for the sole purpose of criticizing Ball.

You literally only came in here to reiterated your stance though.
I said it’s gonna be harder to downplay him.
Which as you just stated a few post ago .. many people feel he’s underperforming... so you’re not the lone critic of ball
It’s true he’s been lack luster at times but, his impact is being missed and his game play will only evolve with time. He’s better than Ennis, Curuso and KCP CURRENTLY at PG.
sooooo I don’t know why you felt the need to reiterate your stance to me

He's better than a guy that shouldnt even be in the league, a career back-up, and a SG who shouldnt even be compared? Cool I guess.

Dude you intentionally direct posts at me then act as though I'm following you around. We've went through this once already. On Dec 15th in this same thread we did this same back and forth. You even deleted your posts but I had already quoted them lol.

It's cool though. No more communication between us. Enjoy the forum bro.

That’s the reality of who’s also playing PG in his stead.
Ok I won’t say anything about ball anymore because it triggers you. Directed em at you? Yes you’re the only person in world who has criticisms of ball haha

I deleted em because I don’t want to do this.

This is stupid.
I don’t care what you have to say.
and you don’t care what I have to say.

no more communication? Perfect

I genuinely don’t see any argument that anyone could make about his play and impact after seeing the team play in his absence. While they weren’t world beaters with him, they were a young team that was exciting and was in almost every single game and playing competitively (while still losing often). Without him they are lost offensively and have been blown off the court in almost every game. He is with zero doubt a starting point guard in the league, and an effective one at that. IF his shooting improves, he will be a perennial all star, if not he will be a starting point guard who makes his teammates better by making effective passes and having legitimate great court vision and game sense. Can’t be upset with that as a 19 year old.

KidRN, you will have to eat your words on Zo just like GCMD had to do about Randle. You can take that to the bank

Despite the fact that his name has been around for more than a year, Lonzo is a rookie. He will struggle. That is the nature of it. But the team got used to his presence on both halves of the court. His rebounding, pushing the pace, steals can't be replaced with any other personel on the team. He is simply valuable to Lakers.

I think what is more alarming is that we don't seem to have an offense independent of Lonzo, which is head scratching because I swear all Luke talks about for 1.5 years is details, but nobody seem to get it yet.

My words are that he will never be a star. He will probably have a solid career as a starting PG but nothing more. He may even come off the bench at some point.

I'm just clarifying my stance. I doubt I will be eating anything.

I also dont see how GCMD was wrong about Randle. Randle will be a career bench player. The 7th pick in a draft that many thought should have been drafted earlier, only being a back up should be considered a failure.

This team is really bad. Average players put up big numbers on losing teams. This isn't anything new.

INJURY UPDATE: Lonzo Ball, who suffered a left shoulder sprain 12/23, and Brook Lopez, who suffered a sprained right ankle 12/18, have both been cleared to return to practice and their status is considered day-to-day at this time. Both listed as questionable vs. OKC.

lol there are a bunch of players that were superstars their first year.

Im 100% sure PG is coming here now. He wouldn't have said something so insane if he wasn't.
