I found it odd that pregame everyone was yapping about Kyrie giving us 40/50 (like D lo) and then he shoots 7/21 (33%) for 19 pts ... we still lost but, I think our game plan was too shut kyrie down. Unfortunately we let baynes have an all star performance

This is a disaster

What Laker fans have already known is now a national story, even outside of basketball

First Take and Undispute both had segments on Lonzo this morning

It was a headline even on CNN's web site

Save us Kobe, reach out to Lonzo and guide him through this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

you're right, but the bias comes from the fact that lonzo was the #2 pick. therefore, he has high "expectations"...whatever that means. it's just 11 games in. these kids take time to develop, but we all want him to be john stockton on day 1. oh well.

It's hilarious to watch everyone rip Lonzo Ball for his offense.   I just heard garbage arse Stephen A Smith say Fox had a great game against OKC while Lonzo hasn't played.  O.k.. let's see:

Fox - 10pts. 8 Ast. 2 Reb 5 TO

Ball - 9 pts. 6 Ast  5 Reb 2 TO

Granted, Fox shot 50%.   Ball had like 3-4 misses right at the rim including that monster block.   I was pissed Lonzo came out passive once again but after his first sit down he came back aggressive.   He is able to break down his man and get into the lane, it's just a matter of finishing.   His shot, I have no excuse for except he is letting his misses get to him.  If he comes in and shoots a 20 footer instead of that 3 it will help him.

While D'Angelo is the better scorer, this team needed a playmaker.  As it is now, Ingram, Lopez, KCP and Randall all want to score.

Let's see what he does tonight.

All the PG rookies are struggling. It's their rookie years.

True. I thought Dennis Smith Jr would be like an All-star in ugly Dallas, but it has been tough for him too. Simmons will be ROY for sure.

I don't disagree with that at all.  I was super huge on his fit with DLo prior to the trade.  After that I wasn't as high on him.  I think they are trying to force him to be something he isnt but we'll see how he develops.

Then he is not even remotely worth a top draft pick and should be traded before other teams figure that out.

You really need to see Ball in person to appreciate how awful his jump shot is.

He somehow manages to shoot even worse each game. Can't even hit from the charity stripe...

Hope he can get out of this slump.

I am truly concerned, there's something wrong with his confidence, he barely touches the rim now, and not only from three point range...

It's not his confidence. He has plenty of it. Its his shot mechanics.

Lol I never thought of it that way. Does he easily have the worst shot out of all the NBA players you got to watch?

I don't think he should change it though.

What if he starts missing all of a sudden?

Praying for  1. Some Cohesion (Ill fitting parts with young bucks, new guys, and those playing for next contracts may muck things up all season) 2. Better Coaching, No More Tanking (Last season was more of the latter but not sure how much of the former we can count on. Walton with something to prove this season as much as any Laker player) 3. Rookie Watch (Hoping Lonzo outshines his daddy (ROTY??), and Kuzma finds minutes and makes a push for all rook 2nd team)

READY FOR SEASON!!!

Here’s my question: can he go to his right and get that shot off with a defender on him?

Honestly at this time, its not a question if he can get his shot off until he shows he can make any kind of shot.

If he was only bad at going right and hitting THAT shot, who of us wouldn't be fine with that.

He can be alone at the line in the first half with no pressure and he cant make them.

I think he gets there.

But if he gets there this year it would be shocking.

Luckily he has value beyond scoring and will only get better with time on everything

It’s in his head and the crowds are getting to him. His FT shooting form is 100% different than his regular jump shot yet he is still missing. Expectations might be too high. He should have started off the bench line I suggested. Its even worse because teams are letting him shoot and he feels the pressure of making that shot. Poor kid.

I can see Kuzma making 1st team all rookie.

And Lonzo falling to 2nd team.

That would be a wake up call.

Maybe he makes a sudden leap in shooting.

If the losses start piling up its gonna look even worse.

And add even more pressure.

I’d Buy the crap about in his head if he had shot it poorly for 2-3 games .. but 11 games in, not only it looks bad but the misses are bad ones. And that he cant go with the ball to right and pull-up is something that annoys me, maybe cause Kobe spoiled me but still has to fix that shot otherwise for me he is a benchguy..
