This is a thread where we can just spitball different half-crazy rebuilding scenarios.

Rubiks Cube solution 1: Ball + overhaul

Trade 1: Zubac, 28th pick, Mozgov to Brooklyn for a TPE. Taking on Mozzy sucks, but they add talent and potential with Zu and 28th, which is what they need.

Draft: Lonzo Ball

Trades 2: D'Angelo Russell, Julius Randle and Clarkson to Indiana for Paul George - a weak return for Indiana, but they wont find anything better.

Trade 3: Two Future 2nd rounders to TOR for Lucas Noguiera. TOR is too deep in lux tax and C position to keep Lucas.

Payroll, so far: roughly 68M.

Free agents: Jrue Holiday (25M), Justin Holiday (whatever). The Holiday brothers are from LA and i think they could be interested in playing together.

Lineup:

Jrue - Lonzo - Ingram - George - Black

Justin - Brewer - Deng - Nance - Noguiera

In 2017-18 i think that team would be able to compete for a playoff spot. Lonzo and Jrue would share PG duties and ONE should be on the floor at all times. Ingram, George, Deng, NAnce would be the frontcourt rotation with Black and Nguiera handling the 5 spot. Everyone on this team are solid defenders that can pass. Most can shoot.

In 2018-19 we are in a position to make a run at a C if we dont believe Black or Noguiera are the long term options here.

Rubiks cube solution 2: Fox and Monk

Lakers trade #2, #28 and Randle to SAC for #5 and #10.

Draft: Fox at #5 and Monk at #10 (assuming he's there, which he might be).

Trade: Russell + Clarkson + Nance to Indiana for PG13

Go with:

Fox - Monk - Ingram - George - Black

Take on expirings to fill out roster.

Then in 2018, we try to create cap space to add Boogie (which should be quite possible).

Rubix cube [expletive] lonZo
Trade 2 pic Ingram brewer for butler

Trade Russell randle deng 27th and 2019 for kp lee Phil would do it

Trade mosgov with nance to whoever will take them

Sign James Johnson and other multi posistioned players

Livinston clarkson butler James Johnson and kp r draymond

But I like ur idea to
Holiday and butler is strong

I would keep Ingram offer 2 pic and package

Than offer mosgov 27th and nance for year of Lopez or more from nets

Holiday
Ingram
George
Johnson
Brook

Than I would offer brook Ingram clarkson for butler

Holiday butler George Johnson and zubac

And those ideas r how lakers fans used to think

Now we want to keep crappy team and probably lose George in free agency and we could land holiday he's a la kid he wants to play with his brother

But I want r 3 big pieces to be butler better than harden George top 10 sky's limit and porzingas or Walton can turn into a better draymond eventually

Nobody gonna wanna play with lonZo and his dad

I would even try to trade this pic for derozan

LonZo will. Ever even be as good as those guys

Derozan can be legit stars lead a team to playoff

But why ppl wouldn't give up any player or lonZo for butler or George is crazy both guys can be better than harden George might be 4th best sg at this point no sg can defend and score like jimmy same goes with cousins if u can get a top 15 player without decimating ur team u do it if u can get two top 15 and decent free agents trade them [expletive]kng all but zubac and maybe nance or clarkson

We can find top euro league guys that can score just as good as deanglo and Ingram will not be as good as George or butler randle is a waste and there's no top 15 playier in this draft even fultz won't be a top 5 pg for long time he will be lucky to be Lowry let's all stop acting like we have gs young team

Just going all-in with the assets we have.

D'Lo and Deng for Butler - like the (likely fake) rumor.

Ingram and Clarkson for Boogie Cousins

#2 and Mozzy for Paul George

Use cap space to sign CP3 (because he's angry with the Clippers for not giving him max - which they're wise to do).

CP3 - Butler - George - Nance/Randle - Boogie.

That team would be a title-contender on the level of GS and Cle.

haha, yea...I've always like puzzles

basically gf knew I kind of always wanted one and to learn to solve it, but I never bought one myself cuz I didn't feel like investing the time to solve it. she bought me one one day, I got on youtube, found a vid that seemed to make sense, took some notes and and the rest is history...now can realiably solve one in under 3 minutes
