Knicks Received Mulitple Trade Calls On Kristaps Porzingis

MAY 5, 2017 7:54 PM

The New York Knicks received trade calls from multiple teams about the availability of Kristaps Porzingis after he skipped his exit meetings with management.

Whether or not those calls led to serious discussions is unclear.

Porzingis did not appear to meet with management at the end of the Knicks' regular season to show his frustration with the direction of the franchise.

Porzingis has played for three separate coaches over his first two seasons while losing 101 games.

If I'm Boston I'm trading that pick for him. That's what I think could happen.

I dont think NY takes any offer seriously that isn't a top 3 star player nor should they

Nothing, with the exception of Porzingis will ever be good fo the Knicks as long as Phil is there. Throw in Dolan too.

So they don't trade him unless it's LeBron Kawhi or KD?

Not many teams have superstar assets on the table available for trade

I've been saying this. Say screw Paul George and trade for Porzingis. He's the stretch 4 we desperately need to go along with Russell and Ingram.

Porzingis is a 5 not 4. He isn't as good as his skill set suggests or the Knicks would compete more.

I'm not saying that he should be. He's the only good thing going for the Knicks right now.

I'm saying if the Knicks are stupid enough to drive Porz to demand a trade, which may or may not be the case right here, Boston becomes a target destination.

The Knicks are a rocky organization, not surprised.  Might as well at least chum the water.  A trade more than likely won't happen, but it doesn't hurt to call.

Hahahaha, jeez man!  Porzingas is as good as billed. He is in a supremely tumultuous situation and still playing better than every pick in his draft.

He's not remotely playing better than towns

Supremely tumultuous?

Nah. Knicks are a bad team and franchises are usually resurrected with great play from great players.

Philly isn't great but when Embiid was healthy he lifted the team up.

I give you that, other than Towns, he's doing great in a crappy situation.  My point is, of course you make a call on him, it's the Knicks, they're a shambles, always call those teams.  Guaranteed the Lakers get calls on everyone as well

P.S. - the Knicks haven't been "resurrected" since their Finals run with Ewing and company. That organization is a mess and yes, it's tumultuous there - has been for decades now.  If you don't see that, there's no further discussion needed about it.

Porzingis would be the kind of player that would compliment Randle very well. Stretch big that can also protect the rim.

Strength does not come from physical capacity. It comes from an indomitable will.
