The sister of Isaiah Thomas was killed Saturday morning in a one-car accident outside Seattle.

Chyna J. Thomas was 22 years old.

The car accident occurred around 5 a.m. on southbound Interstate 5 near South 288th Street in Federal Way, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Witnesses reported that the car, a 1998 Toyota Camry, was being driven normally at first.

“All of a sudden it started to drift very casually onto the left shoulder,” State Patrol spokesman Trooper Nick King said.

The car traveled about 50 feet partially off the roadway until it hit a Jersey barrier.

“That vaulted the vehicle head-on into the sign post,” King said.

Condolences to Isaiah and to his family and friends. R.I.P. Chyna Thomas

This goes beyond basketball and the Celtic hate. Sorry for his families loss and my prayers are with him and his family. R.I.P

RIP...that's just plain awful..

i can't believe there are still people out there who ride in cars without seatbelts, its basically an involuntary action for me...sit in car, put on seat belt

not to say that would have saved her life, but seeing that she wasn't wearing one is disheartening...young people, you never know what's going to happen on the road, please wear your seatbelt...give yourself the best chance for survival whenever you're behind the wheel...you may think you're in control, but you can't control everyone else on the road

also, if you're tired and driving, especially when it's dark out, PLEASE pull over, set an alarm for even just 10 minutes and rest...it'll help

RIP.

I've had two friends fall asleep at the wheel after long shifts at work.

One passed away WAY too young. The other survived with a couple broken ribs.

Please wear a seatbelt.
