Jimmy Butler is slated to make around $17.5, $18.5, and $19.5 million for the next 3 seasons.

Considering his talent and ability, that is a steal.  That's nowhere near the current max contract that players of his caliber will be getting which will be in the $30+ million per year range.  The Celtics do have a small window to compete considering they have Horford under contract for several more seasons and will have to pay IT and Bradley following next season.

They don't NEED to trade the 1st overall pick, but doing so isn't a bad idea either.

This might be the most boring playoffs ever. There really is a super team problem when you have 2 teams close to sweeping there way to the finals.

Not to mention the stat that GS lead for all but 12 minutes (12 minutes!) in their series vs UTAH.

At least there wasnt a blowout on last night. Nice to have a break!

Still, no one hardly ever remembers the series leading up to the Finals unless you're a fan of the team that loses.

Pretty much only the finals.

Hoping for an epic finals rematch of a great rivalry thats only getting better

Praying for  1. Some Cohesion (Ill fitting parts with young bucks, new guys, and those playing for next contracts may muck things up all season) 2. Better Coaching, No More Tanking (Last season was more of the latter but not sure how much of the former we can count on. Walton with something to prove this season as much as any Laker player) 3. Rookie Watch (Hoping Lonzo outshines his daddy (ROTY??), and Kuzma finds minutes and makes a push for all rook 2nd team)

READY FOR SEASON!!!

Surprising performance by Celtics. Not in a good way.

This is why max contracts should be higher. A guy like lebron needs to take up at least 60% of your payroll. Right now he is only around 25% of their salary. Thats just ridiculous.

I hope cavs put up 150. Celtics need to finally realize their 1st seed was nothing but a joke.

I love watching the Celtics get killed at any time, but overall, these playoffs have been outright terrible.

The league is so ridiculously imbalanced it's not fun to watch in it's supposed best moment.   This is the NBA the small market complainers wanted, a lop-sided blowout driven league with two valid teams and a league full of teams floundering?

Woohoo.

There is no competition whatsoever, 2 great teams and a bunch of stars across the league in long contracts (thanks to the new CBA) with terrible or barely good teams.

Also Boston and Spurs 2 very well coached teams can't compete against that much talent.

The West is fool's gold though.  It's touted as better but really, it's not that much better than the East.

It's a 2 team league and after 3 years of it (with another one coming, at least), the NBA is getting tired.

Such a great playoffs. I'm kept at the edge of my seat wondering which team will make it past their respective Conference Finals.

I like to dip my feet in toilet water & smell them.

Wests top 6 teams would wipe the floor with the Easts best.
