So guys, the special day is finally here: SHAQ IS GETTING HIS STATUE UNVEILLING IN LA TONIGHT!

So my question therefore is, Why did Shaq not resign with the Lakers at the end of his career when he was 38,39 years old ? I mean he rather chose the Cavaliers, Suns or Celtics before us.

He could have easily come off the bench and be a mentor type guy for Andrew or even Dwight Howard. And he could have retired in LA like Garnett did last year in Minnesota etc.

Were there still some differences between him and the management or was it just a thing "he is done" with the city ?
