I look at consistency. That is what NBA is all about.

And do you really expect that from rookie and sophomore players?

I don't expect anything. Those who have it show it.

This comment proves my point. You have to consider the "role" that the player is in when evaluating talent. Being consistent in an extremely limited role doesn't mean that the player would remain consistent if given a larger role.

Russell is at a point in his career where inconsistency is expected especially given the fact that he is basically our number 1 option.

True. But it gives you an idea.

But what happens when a player gets 28 minutes a night, and is not consistent? That should also give you an idea. Goes both ways.

Zubac has great awareness on both ends. I love it.

Its not simply about minutes, it's about the role. I would love to see Russell play in Phoenix instead of Booker. That team would instantly get better because Russell can play the 2 and brings so much more to the table offensively than Booker does. Russell is inconsistent because he plays within a role that he isn't talented enough to succeed in at this point. But we have no choice.

Russell, imo, is a lot better than he gets credit for

Maybe that is what FO thinks too. Mitch never talked so we didn't know how they evaluated, but Magic is hella talkative.

Btw I never understood how you could advertise alcohol and drinking in a sports game in a country the drinking age is 21.
