We are down by 15 and we suck, but I really like the freshness of the team without Lou.

It is like a box of chocolates. You never know what is gonna pop up.

Shouldn't have to double anyone on the court for Oklahoma right now.

I wonder if this team could win the NCAA title if they participated in this year.

Offensively / scoring wise good game for Russell, but unfortunately every other element of his game has been moderate to poor.  The amount of points he gives up on the other end negates almost everything positive he does in the scoring column.

High scoring games from Russell are good for the Lakers.  They make his value bigger than it actually is on the trade market when the Lakers can get an actual PG.

Lakers are better statistically offensively and defensively when Russell is on the floor

Such a bummer.

News programs a cluster#@&)

Laker games a cluster#@&)

Just disheartening

Praying for  1. Some Cohesion (Ill fitting parts with young bucks, new guys, and those playing for next contracts may muck things up all season) 2. Better Coaching, No More Tanking (Last season was more of the latter but not sure how much of the former we can count on. Walton with something to prove this season as much as any Laker player) 3. Rookie Watch (Hoping Lonzo outshines his daddy (ROTY??), and Kuzma finds minutes and makes a push for all rook 2nd team)

READY FOR SEASON!!!

Everything is going according to plan.

Russell gets more playing time with Lou out. He will learn.

And we are losing games. Just a half more to go before we beat out PHX for the worst spot in the west. Won't be able to beat out Brooklyn unfortunately but we can keep Orlando from edging us out.

For what?

Lou was going any way you slice it.  He wasn't going to be here long term.  If you want the draft pick for picking or dealing, you want them to lose.

If you want development of the young guys, then dealing Lou gives it to you.  It makes the kids step into the pressure situation. it makes them the guys to fall back on to win or keep you in a game.  Again, it's such a double standard from people who are all butthurt about the Williams deal.  You want the pick, but you don't want the losing with it.  You want something for him, well you got the only deal left on the table (and the only one that involved a first round pick).  Mitch had several deals on the table (per Ramon Shelbourne) and every day another (better) deal went by the wayside.  So it was either take the deal with Houston (who gave a first round pick when reportedly other teams didn't), or sit on Lou, and do nothing about it.

Now it forces these supposedly good/high potential young guys to step up.  If they don't they're gone.  I love that.  Play for your spot now.  Nothing is for sure, but you had better work your tail off if you want to stay on the Lakers.

Yea I heard that on the radio but if Washington and Utah were asking us to take back Nicholson and Burks then Mitch was right not to pull the trigger and so were Magic and company.
