Of course we'd fall behind in the 3rd quarter.

Without any go-to guy for scoring it's not like things would change.

Teams make adjustments at halftime.  These players don't have another gear, or a defensive game to fall back on if offense isn't working.  So it stands to reason the second half is the hitch.

For what?

Lou was going any way you slice it.  He wasn't going to be here long term.  If you want the draft pick for picking or dealing, you want them to lose.

If you want development of the young guys, then dealing Lou gives it to you.  It makes the kids step into the pressure situation. it makes them the guys to fall back on to win or keep you in a game.  Again, it's such a double standard from people who are all butthurt about the Williams deal.  You want the pick, but you don't want the losing with it.  You want something for him, well you got the only deal left on the table (and the only one that involved a first round pick).  Mitch had several deals on the table (per Ramon Shelbourne) and every day another (better) deal went by the wayside.  So it was either take the deal with Houston (who gave a first round pick when reportedly other teams didn't), or sit on Lou, and do nothing about it.

Now it forces these supposedly good/high potential young guys to step up.  If they don't they're gone.  I love that.  Play for your spot now.  Nothing is for sure, but you had better work your tail off if you want to stay on the Lakers.

From now on whatever happens, happens. We are finally in same boat as TWolves.

At least we know Magic is not gonna repeat this [expletive] next year. Honestly with Mitch and Jim, it was just unknown.

Tank. Keep the pick. Let the young show their stuff without an obstacle.

Next year USE the assets.

That is the plan.

I kind of think this sort of Royal Battle environment is gonna bring the best out of young players. Whoever doesn't get to show their talent is out. I love it.

I couldn't agree more Tensai.  Time for these kids to step on the gas and be professional, instead of in cruise control.

That does seem to be the plan.  What I'm hoping is they get a high enough pick to grab Ball (or maybe he forces his way to the Lakers), and they can deal Russell (and whomever else) for other talent.

Randle is an alright rotation player, nothing more, nothing less.  His brain is just slow.  He has the physical skills, but for some reason the guy just doesn't think on the court.  He's too reactive and not proactive enough.

Westbrook penetrating the lane.  Man that would be great to see from a Laker point.

Reading Russell's quote the other day regarding Lou's trade, how no one was safe anymore, I grinned like a mother[expletive]er.

Yes, that is right. No one is a royal heir to the throne Kobe left. You all got to work for it.

I like this lineup.. The nance/Zu combo is nice. Both set good screens and quick awareness.

I would like to see Nance start and Randle come off the bench for a couple games.

I have wet dreams imagining the next Laker doing same things for us. I miss the Black Mamba so much.

Ingram shows flashes of something pretty damn serious.
